Re: Possible return of the Sport Modulator??
i exchanged my sm years ago with a r*s ssg but wanted to buy one again soon after. the size and playability of the ssg is amazing and i would love to see big knobs for the cv inputs on this new sm. imo the cv attenuation is as important as the rate knob, if not more. the sm and now the ssg were/are ...

Re: Mungo Enterprises d0, dual channel Delay
ja understood john, why don't you create "the" example then? i'm sorry that i reposted that picture, i won't do that again. if people don't realize that the d0 is significantly different to any other eurorack delay and that it needs quite some patching to have external feedback and a dry wet path th...

Re: Mungo Enterprises d0, dual channel Delay
i quote myself and add this picture here, it's years old but it shows the knob settings to have a simple clean delay with internal feedback path: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix2/14190_225x480_1390822682_2228_1.png I think this is a bad example to give to users, and has caused many suppor...

Re: Mungo Enterprises d0, dual channel Delay
i tried it again and it seems that clicks are related to how i set delay offset. i overlooked that. slew set to full cw and offset and offset cv to noon is a good start. if i set delay offset to small than i occasionally get clicks. apropos dc filtering: when i press sum button and hold zoom +- to ...

Re: Mungo Enterprises d0, dual channel Delay
...with audiorate signals with freqs higher than 1700 hz i experienced clicks and crackles on the d0-output. are these samplerate based artefacts - ie is 1700 hz at mod input to fast for the d0 to handle? i tried different slew settings and dc filtering , compare digital vs anlog vco´s as modulator...

Re: Mungo Enterprises d0, dual channel Delay
for pm you need two oscillators anyway, i have not used a selfoscillating d0 channel for this, judging only from ear, that isn't a clean sine wave and i prefer clean sine waves for pm. to explain the pm patch a bit: put your "carrier" sine into channel b, set it's delay time to minimum and then add...

Re: Mungo Enterprises d0, dual channel Delay
thanks timoka, that makes more sense now. i was a bit confused that with slew > 11 o´clock we get this zipper click like noise when manually changing delaytime. event tho with a (sine) lfo fed into a delay mod input i dont get this noise even with slew set to full cw. but when turning the attenuato...

ja, let's go back to the important thread topics: "when", "if", "what" and "how".slumberjack wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 3:42 pmIf you want to discuss if they gonna rip off Jim take this into the dedicated thread please. THX
this thread is pretty useless since many months now

imo we should discuss if jim even exists!

Re: Mungo Enterprises d0, dual channel Delay
Slew is nothing you can hear per se. But if its all CW, you will hear no changes in the delay time when turning the Delay time knob on the right, neither when modulating. you meant CCW, right. i just checked that and if the slew is set hard left (ccw) the delay changes takes ages... When you speed ...

Re: [µTune] velocity through gate out
The gate output can not output any voltage, just gate on or gate off. It would be possible to turn on the gate if the velocity level is above a certain value, but that's it. ok, well gate out has a certain voltage, 5v i think with the utune? i just thought maybe it's somewhat possible to divide the...

[µTune] velocity through gate out
would it be possible to get a variable voltage gate out derived from the midi gate in and the velocity value? this way no additional channels would be used for velocity, the gate output simply reflects the velocity value as a fixed voltage. for simple ad envelopes with maths, dusg etc this would be ...

Re: Spring Reverb Comparison 2020
I'd love someone to do a true stereo spring module (2 ins 2 outs). That would rock and I wouldn't have to buy 2. i have this one: 16965_spring_front_1.jpg https://www.modulargrid.net/e/music-thing-modular-spring-dual it's great! here's the thread: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1...

Re: Mungo g0 - Simple Demos plus visual Guide
I always appreciate the input from an engaged manufacturer such as John and users such as yourself Timoka, a big part of the appeal of the g0 & other Mungo modules is approaching them from a different perspective. I've switched from Ciat Lonbarde to Euro n the past year, the joy of those instrument...

Re: Mungo g0 - Simple Demos plus visual Guide
i don't know why it's doing this bouncing ball glitch effect, but that's what happened when i reset it via a r*s ncom. It would be explained if the r*s ncom has an AC coupled input (unlike the DC coupled input of the comparator on the g0). Just a tiny change to the feedback path makes al the differ...

what happens when you reset the g0 with it's own output (card mode) via a comparator?

Re: Mungo g0 - Simple Demos plus visual Guide
That's just perfect. :tu: I've tried this but never really pursued the patch. I connected up a Planar today & was having much fun with a live input from my Befaco mic pre & using John's suggestion of the inverted envelope from the follower into the hold input. I'm blown away by this module, the ran...

Re: Mungo g0 - Simple Demos plus visual Guide
this made me curious again and today i tried to selfpatch its tracking output into its pitch input, dunno why i haven't done more like this, it's really fun. sadly the tracking output didn't make it to the newer g0, i think it's an ingenious addition! here's a drumloop "scrubbed* through by a dusg e...

Re: Mungo g0 - Simple Demos plus visual Guide
if there's no input or the volume is too low the g0 "saturates" eg it plays back the last grain or the next one if volume jumps above a certain threshold, that might sound as if it's "synced" to transients but it only shows that the input volume is too low (which can be used creatively). g0 accepts...

Re: Mungo g0 - Simple Demos plus visual Guide
Long grain, pitch down, position stays put. ... The one big mystery to me still is this ... I had a muck around yesterday to remind myself - leaving aside the trigger/reset options, I wonder if the grains are just faded to the extent that you don't hear the looping. On my v1 g0, the song I played t...

Re: Mungo Enterprises w0 videos
i forgot how this way of waveshaping is called, i think the harvestman piston honda does a similar thing with its external input? anyway here's how to patch it: clean wave into phase input, w0 frequency set very low, basically 0 with zoom, load different wavetables for different distortion/waveshape...

Re: Mungo Enterprises w0 videos
very cool! sometimes my w0 makes other modules behave very weirdly because of its extreme frequency range! the greatest thing for me is it's use as waveshaper if frequency is basically set to zero (or very very low for great beating effects). with custom loaded waves the w0 is a very flexible wavesh...
