Re: ES-9 standalone summing?

will check those, forgot about that.

yeah. they pans work on Mixer 1 with inputs 1-8, the pans do nothing with Mixer 2 and the 9-14 inputs.

it's not a HUGE deal, but it would be better if they went where they were s'posed to.

silly SYNTHS. why don't you do what you're TOLD??!?

Re: ES-9 standalone summing?

Mixer section..... so. YES. got the first 8 playing in stereo. and responding to sliders. still haven't tacked MIDI control because, as per your OTHER super helpful suggestion, have a MIDIXO on the way (and a FaderFox EC4, the SL MixFACE doesn't have even micro MIDI outs, and wanted an excuse to gr...

Re: ES-9 standalone summing?

Mixer section, where you have Main Out L & then bus 1 multiple times, change the bus 1 next to Main Out L to Main Out R, same for Mixer 2 section. My previous post Thu Sep 17, 2020 4:03 am, has good example screenshots which should help if you get stuck. thaaaaat makes sense. think i'm just not gra...

Re: ES-9 standalone summing?

oop. ignore me on the updating. didn't notice i needed to unistall the driver first. durp. RTFM. this is what i have in the Config Tool, i'm kinda just bashing through options. i can get all 14 inputs to send audio in standalone to the MAIN L out, but can't figure out how to turn on MAIN R for stere...

Re: ES-9 standalone summing?

also, the layout of the Tool Config confuses the butts out of me. i see Mixer and Mixer 2, and i see how to select the inputs for each (i have 1-8 on Mixer and 9 -14 on Mixer 2), but the outs go either Main L or Main R. how do i get them to send each mixer to Main L AND Main R? durp. didna do the up...

In theory yes. I've never tried though connecting the ES-9 to something that hosts MIDI but not audio.
i'm stuck in Errand Land for a bit, but will report back on results?

Re: ES-9 standalone summing?

ah. i see what you're saying. and if it was a MIDI over USB controller, one would need a USB MIDI host? i was thinking about using a StudioLogic MixFace, which has a USB out and a Host input. lol. silly to ask because i can just go try it, but could i connect the ES-9 directly to that over a USB cab...

Re: a few ES-9 questions -

>> in Live when i adjust the Master it doesn't affect the L R outs on the ES-9 Not sure what you mean. It won't control the ES-9's mixer to affect anything you're not sending through the DAW, but then no audio interface works that way. i'm phrasing it weirdly, but i've had interfaces where turning ...
