Re: afg despair

Reviving a long dead thread. This happened to me and drove me fucking insane trying to figure it out. It was a bad coarse pot itself, not a joint or temperature or whatever. Took resoldering 20000 things and finally swapping the coarse pot with FM2 to figure it out.

Takes some time to find out a perfect Morph preset and synth/modular patch. Agreed. As with any good controller, it takes time to figure out how to make it make sense for your purposes—honestly, after a long time using analog CV touchplates as a primary playing method (Pressure Points, TKB, 216, ya...

Just wanted to say I've had mine for a few weeks now and am completely underwhelmed. It doesn't have aftertouch, it has pressure. This means that it can't distinguish between initial keypress and deliberate AT. So if you have pitch bend mapped to AT, for example, every note you hit will have a pitch...

Great, thanks. That's about 20 of us now. I'm in touch with Lynx. TBH it's not just sysex I want — I personally want the damned modulations to actually affect 100% of a parameter, but that's just me. The first goal of this effort is just seeing if he's willing to consider an update for us. Right now...

OB-MX Roll Call

Hi all. I decided to reach out to Lynx to see if he'd consider updating the firmware for us via crowdfunded support. He didn't say no. There was more to the conversation but I'll keep it at that. He was very nice and was surprised there was interest. Please either respond to this post or DM me with ...

Question 2:

Can anyone else with an OB-MX confirm that it doesn't actually send sysex? I just wasted an hour thinking it was a midi driver problem on my mac, but no, I think the OB-MX sends garbage data.

Dead TNR-W

I went to turn on my TRN-W today and it won't power on. No lights, no screen, etc. Neither batteries nor power adapter change the situation. Any ideas other than "replace the PCB?"

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

My tenori-on (TRN-W/Silver) will no longer turn on, both via power and batteries. Any ideas?

Thanks.

to argue with myself though I've run through a few scenarios and I believe that any competent engineer on the team would have had the opportunity to raise objection to the marketing phrases use so this most likely was not an accident

No, I clarify that in what I said. Arturia should not say

They should say

> 11 Digital oscillator with variable mode, including oscillator designs by Mutable Instruments

Or similar

I'm all for defending a member of the community but Arturia did nothing wrong here other than poorly imply active collaboration vs passive ("our product is the result of product recombination") collaboration. It's time to rethink your MIT license if you don't like the results of it. You realize that...

Re: Abstract Instruments - Out of Business

I just received an email from perfect circuit from LA that they will process a refund from my order from 6 month ago since the company is 'basically out of business'. What do you guys think? Should I get a used one or just don't touch it because of no after sales service? Get one, it's still the mo...

OB-MX Sysex?

The page in the manual meant for midi specification is blank.

There is nothing on the internet (other than the manual with the blank page)

Does anyone on here have it?

you get used to Page B. it's not octatrack levels of unintuitive. You just have dual roles for every knob, like "shift" on many synths. There's deeper stuff like filter selection and BBD, but it's easy.

Yes, you mentioned that before, and as I said, sifam UK told me they do not sell directly to us customers and referred me to a us distributor who referred me to cashparts.

Hi all, for posterity's sake, I tracked them down to CashParts out of San Francisco:
