I confirm Soundtronics is not too blame and I am totally responsible for these errors. I modified the design of my PCBs in order to support different PSU sockets. While doing that some errors occurred. I have published ERRATAs on the yusynth sub-forum of electro-music. I will send soon the corrected...

Sorry I've been away for few days.

Yes in split mode the Steiner is assigned by default to the right part of the keyboard and the ladder to the left.
Note that even though it was not available on the MatrixBrute I had for the demos, the spilt point can be chosen.

I was involved two years ago in the phase of definition of the specifications and of technical choices, then I validated some circuits and did some evaluation and beta testing.
I was not involved in the electronic design although some functions and features are inherited from my Minibrute circuits.

Hello Last week-end I had the atrixBrute at my place for beta-testing. I received a pre-prod machine in a configuration very close to completion. I shot some videos to demonstrtate the sound and some functions... http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4nmzsq_matrixbrute-test-1_music http://www.dailymotio...

Thanks strat-1 for those demos and sharing your panel design.
About the EMS filter if one wants to have exactly the EMS sound the input pot should be set above the 3rd/4th tick mark if using a VCO with a 10Vpp output range. Full range of the pot should be alright for VCOs wit a 2Vpp output range.

High the pink noise is obtained by filtering the white noise first. If you have a very low volume (do you measure it with a scope or a voltmeter ?) you have to check the components of the filtering and amplifying chain, that is all components from R20 to R27, C9 to C13., Q4 and U3a Check all the sol...

No only of the shelf components except for the LM394s of the VCOs, otherwise only TL0xx some CA3083 and CA3080.
There was less components on the original because RSF used curtis ICs.
The pot boards contains only a small amount of trannies (for LED drivers) and resistors.

Why don't you guys ever show us pictures of the BACK of your new modules? Thanks usw for posting the image. OK some answers : two PCBs one for the potentiometers and jacks and one for the synth itself. Only through hole components (except may be for the HM VCF module). In the original kobol the VCF...

Hi Bugbrand Unfortunately it is not possible to clock the sequencer from the GATE input because there is no connection of the input GATE to the ARM processor which deals with sequencing and so on. I have discussed a possible hack (using an unused pin of the ARM) with Arturia's engineers but it would...

In this Moog "module" the joystick is handcrafted, it is merely the same build as the one that is described in the Wireless Word series on Building an analog synthesizer by Tim Orr in 1973, in the Part3, they show how to build one. It's the equivalent of t Moog's one. http://www.keith-snook.info/wir...

Eventually MOS-LAB has found the maker of the original Kobol knobs and will provide the kobol expander with the original knobs, MOS-LAB will also propose Kobol knobs for the Kobol VCOs. From a technical point of view the VCOs are the same as the MOS-LAB kobol VCO modules, the filter is based on the ...

It's a phase locked loop. From page 8 of the manual: "The pure analog oscillators with the newly designed OVERTONE PLL offer more raw tone generation options...." It is not a PLL, we did use a PLL in the design of the first prototype but eventually we changed the design to another approach. Unfortu...
