Re: not talking to me
Thanks for sharing, strettara. I've been meaning to have a better means of sharing the full archive of the tumblr page but in lieu of that, I'm always glad to pass along an archive of the whole thing in .wav format (or whatever people need). I loved hearing this because it's great to see where your ...

SID GUTS DIY and SwinSID Ultimate - anyone with experience?
Good evening, I lucked out and grabbed a few SwinSID Ultimate chips from https://www.polyplay.xyz/ to update the SwinSID Nano to an Ultimate (I want that Audio Input so badly) but I'm having weird behavior. I only get an output after I change waveforms - it and sounds like the ADSR is triggered, as ...

Re: Leave rack powered on or off?
screens on digital modules dont last forever, they can die or they can get burn in, especially if the dont have screensavers. my o and c and flxs 1 both have some burn in, and my er301 might have it very slightly. thats enough of a reason to turn it off when not in use for me. Oof. What version of ...

Plum Audio seems to support both formats and I believe Synsi only supports Pulp Logic.

Re: [Project] Turing Machine Mk2
Thanks for the heads up. I didn't have a larger order to place but I've had my MK2 benched for so long that I had given up hope... so yeah, I'll throw 15 bucks at an order to see if this'll fix it. Here's to hoping. :sb: Update : I just swapped the 2N3904 with one from a Mouser order and the calibra...

Re: Sources for Typhoon panels
There is a build of the firmware I believe that flips the time and bank controls It's available here: typhoon rev bank time hex You'll need to be a member of the Facebook group "Pusherman's Eurorack DIY Noobs" to be able to download it Thank you. I just got accepted to group and I'll have to check ...

Sources for Typhoon panels
Good evening, A few weeks ago I bought a build of a Jak Plugg 'Typhoon' that has the Time and Bank labels on the wrong sides (the same issue this lad had). I'm wondering if anyone knows of any resources for panels, preferably stateside. I adore the panel on that blog post but given how jacked up our...

I'm very pleased about the added jacks - namely all the VCO outputs. You can self-patch this into weird, sweet oblivion.causticlogic wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 10:13 pmSo tempting. I already have a desktop INM, but all those additional jacks and the extra domains...(drool).

Ohmforce - Quad Frohmage - tempo-based LFO's not synced
After years of using Ohm Force's plugins - I'm having an issue with Quad Frohmage that I cannot determine the cause of. The issue I'm having is that with the LFO's set to be temp sync'ed, they do not start at their sync'ed position if I stop and start playback. For example, if I set the LFO to be a ...

Re: [Project] Turing Machine Mk2
Just an evening bump: swapped the 2N3904 and the calibration window is still tiny and unreliable. Sometimes with the trim pot fully CCW I can't even get a steady tone.
However, I'm leaving it right now on a 'steady square wave' to settle but I'm doubtful that this resolved it, unfortunately.

Re: [Project] Turing Machine Mk2
I just replaced the trim pot and all of the IC's and I still cannot get the Turing Machine MK2 to do anything but be fully random or fully locked. The window for calibration is utterly tiny to the point of being worthless. I guess I can attempt to try a lower value trim pot (since the window with 1...

Does anyone know what the third socket on the back of the mix 03 is for? https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix2/48915_imag047801_2.jpg I realize that I'm bumping a thread but I figured to answer this question and pose a new one. That socket is for post-fader outputs of the four channels. It's n...

Re: [Project] Turing Machine Mk2
I just bought a secondhand DIY Turing Machine MK2 and I'm experiencing the same calibration issues (ie: the Trim Pot doesn't seem to do anything until nearly entirely CCW) and when I do get a clear tone from the Output during this point in calibration, the Lock knob doesn't seem to do anything. I ju...

Re: New SNAZZY FX videos, buying guide & discussion!
Chaos Brother : Two medium to fast LFO rate chaos signals, a slewed output for smoother CV, a CV/trigger input to "sync" it to an external clock and a chaotic gate output (really cool to add synced but off-beat drum triggers to a sequence for example). Needs a bit of practice to figure out. General...

I think the least appreciated feature of the Z-DSP is the CLOCK input. Hit that with a squarewave around 32khz and modulate the frequency of the wave and you can get some really gnarly stuff. It depends on what card, but you can get some really interesting sample-rate reduction type effects in addit...
