Re: Strymon NightSky

Price: If you have to ask, you can't afford it. :hihi: (It does look purdy, though. I wonder if a new Delay might be coming, too.) Edit: also interesting that it is screen-less. I have a feeling you don't keep yo with Strymon too closely. They came out with a screen-less delay in this exact form fa...

Re: Modules that FEEL good

Filters with huge cutoff knobs are the best. Comparing my Neutron's cutoff knob to the giant wheel on my Hermippe VCF, the difference is crazy. Big cutoff knobs 4 life! :sb:

Re: Modules that FEEL good

didn't get along w/HN concentric pots, they felt cold and sometimes it was difficult to see the lines. I guess we're in the minority but I had the same experience as you. My take away from the one Happy Nerding module I owned (and sold) is that concentric/dual pots are not for me. Joranalogue feel ...

Re: Doepfer A-101-6 Opto-FET VCF - Anyone use one? Good?

I want this module so bad. I wish Doepfer would re-release as a 2-PCB stack that isn't 65mm deep so I could put it in my Mantis case... :waah:

Re: Tiptop Mantis cases

Hi! I have a tiptop Mantis case, and I do understand that the power its separated to 3 zones, 3 x 1A each. I was wondering if is worth separating audio modules (vca, LPG, output module) to their own zone cause sometimes I feel lfos leaking into vcas. Would it help? Thanks I've never tested this (no...

Re: Arturia PolyMatrix / PolyBrute coming?

I think it sounds absolutely great. 8 voices is better than 6, yeah, but I'm shocked they got this feature set, at this level of apparent build quality, with this sound, at $2500. First synth above $1,500 I haven't balked at in probably 10 years. Way to go, Arturia. I want one.

Not to derail the thread away from compression, but I'm mostly looking for an end-of-chain limiter. Are there any other good options in Euro besides the MSCL?

Just got this reply from Perfect Circuit when I asked: Hello, I just ran a test, and it seems like the Mantis case doesn't provide enough inrush current for the module. It did work fine with the Intellijel's TPS80. Hope this helps. Best, Eldar Hello darkness my old friend... The search for a new fil...

Re: Euclidean Circles or Zularic Repetitor

I've only been using Max For Live version of this module, so it's not quite the same UI but I think it's a pretty good selection and a starting point. Oh man, thanks for the heads up on this M4L device! I was curious about the Zularic Repetitor myself so this will really help me to demo it. And the...

Re: ADDAC 611 Gotharman's VC Tube BPF

Something I didn't see anyone mention is the power requirement for the tube... It's my understanding that Tube modules have 2 different power requirements, the normal 12v/5v mA requirement for operation, and then "on-rush" current when powering the system on. I'm considering buying this module but I...

Hello all, sorry if this is a noobish question and/or already covered in the previous 15 pages, but the REC CV input - is there a particular reason this is a 0-5V CV input and not a Trig input? Or is it actually a trig and the manual doesn't explain? Could I send the REC CV input Trigs to start reco...

I love the Rubicon 2 and was able to pick up the Blue Lantern Millipede's for $120 each. Love em. You can get real gnarlz from the millipede and the Rubicon 2 speaks for itself.
Where did you find BL Millipede for $120?! They're $250 USD new???

Just in case it isn't obvious... Have you tried Parasite firmware? You need the version of the firmware that is formatted for the uBurst, but that might reinvigorate your interest in the module. Unless you're bored of that too. As to your primary question, do you have any other hardware besid...

I think this might be a viable replacement for my dying Novation LaunchControl XL, in a way that would allow me to make my modular the primary performative element of my live sets, rather than the LCXL. I sort of overlooked the module when it was announced but it suddenly hit me how cool this could ...

Doepfer are just awesome. No guessing what it does. And for a 'live' case can be really intuitive. Just a bit spendy with hp in some cases. This is the direction I've been heading, too! Not necessarily to Doepfer specifically, though I do like most of their modules. But, to that design paradigm. I ...

Re: Newfangled Audio PENDULATE (FREE) and GENERATE

Generate seems cool. Polyphony adds another dimension for me that would be missing from the monophonic version. With few exceptions, I limit monophony to my eurorack and expect software/VSTs to be poly. I realize it's brand new, but for time-travelers... Can anyone with Generate report on how CPU-in...
