On my (dotcom version) Cyndustries LPG, I found a similar problem, which I interpreted to be related more to a scaling issue rather than an offset issue. My solution was to use a quad op-amp to create a CV amplifier on each of the four inputs which multiplies the incoming CV's by a factor of 2. It ...

Thanks nangu, seems interesting, but as a whole not really the kind of thing I'm looking for. Also quite a bit more expensive!

Yeah it looks like Carbon has a set tempo per song.

The Pyramid looks like it has what I want with the BPM MIDI effect, but it's not quite as attractive to me as a sequencer overall.

This said, with Carbon's code being open source, maybe it can be modded for my needs at some point.

Yeah clock divisions are good, and seem fairly common. Tempo changes not as much.

Thanks for all the input so far!

oozitron interesting, thanks. I wasn't aware of this one. I don't have the time or space to do DIY these days. But I'll check out its specs.

Hey thanks! "One tempo per song" totally kills it for me unfortunately, which is too bad because Carbon is the one that has been the most attractive to me. The Squarp Pyramid seems to be able to do it via the "BPM" MIDI effect, but from my research it doesn't strike me as immediate as Carbon does — ...

Recent-ish crop of sequencers and tempo changes

Short version is that I am looking to get away from the computer for sequencing, so I've been checking out some of the more recent outings, including the BSP, Pyramid, Carbon, etc. I like polyrhythms and odd meters quite a bit, which makes the Pyramid interesting. I like the multiple CV outs on the ...

Khanate
Old Man Gloom
SUMAC
If you're into Neurosis-type stuff, Cult Of Luna

+1 for Kowloon Walled City and Boris (though Boris is more hard/stoner rock, they can get pretty doomy at times)

Äänipää (not really metal — it's more or less a collab between Khanate/Sunn and Pan Sonic)

I can't make a patch on the mono desktop Evolver without a healthy dose of tuned feedback. That's pretty much the core of the sound I'm after every time.

Anyone using this with the Korg SQ-1? Will the BSP clock drive the SQ-1 properly and reliably? What about the drum gate outs? Thanks.
