Re: Hey all.... Im bran_newb
Hi Mastadon Glad to see you're adding to your toys. Both modules you describe are in Eurorack format (as great as they are) plus they're really self-contained synths as opposed to discrete modules to build up. I think you'd probably get a better response from posting your questions in the Muff's Eur...

Dirty filters
I'm considering grabbing one of these Analog Craftsman acVOKS filters as I want a filter with a really gritty, gnarly sound and I like the sound of this one. Are there any other rivals I should consider (even better if in the UK/EU)?

Thanks for your replies - that looks like 2 for, 2 against! @JLR I have a Q961 Sequencer Interface and I think it's pretty cool but I rarely use it. There is a big risk my entire modular will be like that :hihi: @Mark11Audio - a Q962 is on the order book! @sbuge/kindredlost - how would you make a g...

Re: COTK C965 Denominator: Owner Advice?
Looks an interesting and unique model. I use Q170 MIDI Gates to provide MIDI clock > trigger divisions, but this looks like it works with any clock source and can manage multiplication as well as division. Agreed, it looks more appropriate for driving my dual sequencers, freeing up the Q173 for dru...

Re: COTK C965 Denominator: Owner Advice?
Hey Guys Just a quick update. Dropped a line to Kazike who gave me the following answers (summarised): 1. If I'm sending 4ths and want to get 16ths out - presume it works as follows: set multiplier to 4, divider to 1, 4ths pulses to GATE IN socket, receive 16th gate out pulses in the MULT/DIV.1 sock...

COTK C965 Denominator: Owner Advice?
Thinking of using this to drive my 960's (already got a Q173 Gat Math which is great but will be redeployed to drums). Just seeking a bit of clarification: 1. If I'm sending 4ths and want to get 16ths out - presume it works as follows: set multiplier to 4, divider to 1, 4ths pulses to GATE IN socket...

Re: Club of the knobs 901?
Anyone know the depth of the MosLab 901A/B? They look pretty deep and I've got dotcom portables so max depth is 5.25" (133m). Had to rule out the SW 901 combo for that reason as they're just over 7" (180mm).

Re: Which 960?
I have the MOS-LAB 960 - the quantizer works on one of the pair of outputs for each sequencer line, so you can have quantized and unquantized outputs at the same time. I also have the fully-featured MOS-LAB 960. Very pleassed with it; the switchable gate outs are really, really useful. Only thing I...

Stood on the floor and put modular on stage with back to audience. Nice that they could see what I was doing but definitely missed that crowd interaction so will try sideways on (slightly angled to audience) next time.

Re: 5u - the next trend?
Playing live is where it shines. It is big. It is easy to use. And to the audience, you aren't hunching over an invisible box looking like you are playing a game of Operation. They get to see the large mass of knobs and your interaction with them. Hear hear! Playing with my back to the audience so ...

Re: Post your NEW 5U Audio and Videos here
Thanks mate! Always a challenge to do a varied live set with the relatively simple MU setup compared with some Euroracks which practically have a synth per module!kindredlost wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 7:28 am![]()
Really like it smbenn! Especially part two. Good use of the drum machines and 960’s.

Re: Post your NEW 5U Audio and Videos here
OK, my turn! As I didn't capture my performance at http://brightonmodularmeet.co.uk/ at the time I decided to recreate it in the studio before I forgot how I patched and played it. Got the two oscillators 32'/16' being driven by lower 960 (MosLab with switchable gates) going through dotcom ladder fi...

Hey Bassbot'rs! Having a weird issue and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this. I turned on my Bassbot today and it's making a buzzing sound. Not a hum but almost as if the VCA is not closing all the way. It's definitely waveform related as it'll hold the pitch of the last note played i...
