Re: KORG miniKORG 700FS

I think the reason the price is high are the patch memories and all the AD&DA converters required to do that. I love the traveler filter on this generation of Korgs.

Re: Anyone here own a Haken Continuum ?

I got an Intellijel Planar as part of the rig I want to use for quad. It should be a fun way to spend some winter months. I recently did a drone challenge with my local synth club where I got paired with a Buchla user. I thought the Haken and Buchla were a great sounding combo.

Re: Anyone here own a Haken Continuum ?

I am just now setting up a CVC for use with my eurorack setup. I am especially interested in using the Continuum for controlling sounds in a quad space. I am not sure what the requirements for a Buchla snake would be, but I made and labeled a 1/4" to 1/8" one for my euro. Good luck!

Re: Sequential OB6 and P6 get MPE and P5/10 style 'vintage' function

I am trying the new firmware on both an OB6 and 2 P6s Poly pitchbend is working on the OB6, but on the P6, everything is off by a factor of 16. 6 steps on the Seaboard would work correctly with 96 on the P6s (if that setting existed).

Anyone else able to verify?

Re: Do high end mixers matter?

I don't think for most people here that a huge expensive console is a great choice. I do believe that tracking with a high quality analog front end makes for better sounding recordings, but as others have said, a couple of great pres in an API 500 rack will do that for you. In having spent the money...

Re: What new booty did you buy?

I changed the tilt on the top of the stand and can get 10U on it still angled a bit. 33F0CFDC-9FFD-4EF6-BBA7-7DE59B70EBBC.jpeg I was mostly interested in the tilting top. The second tier really is not easily integrated, but could be fine for certain things. I think I will just make something. If I D...

I'm looking for solutions for my rack as well, any chance you could post a picture with your case on there?

Just bought this to hold and tilt two modular cabinets. 6U can sit on the bottom.

Re: kemper profiler vs the world

I recently bought the rack version for exactly the same reasons. My plan is to record & monitor through the Kemper (or, through a real amp), while also recording a direct signal and then re-amp through the Kemper if needed during mixes. I haven't yet had much time to put this plan into use as the pa...

Re: What new booty did you buy?

Thanks! I agree some CV control on the 914s would be fun. They could probably be modified. I have always been a sucker for resonant filter banks. The truth is, as I am waiting on many of the modules to arrive, the 914s have only been tested on noise sources and a few loops. But, I like the results I...

Re: What new booty did you buy?

I am planning to write and record an album over the winter & will mostly use this system for creating and manipulating samples. Though, it will also be used with another 3U rack I have setup for quad playback if live ever returns. It started innocently enough with a pair of cheap 914s for signal pro...

Re: MPE controllers

And for a different outlook, I sold my K-Board almost immediately for the lack of tactile feedback. IMO, I might as well have been playing linoleum tiles. So far my favorites are the Roli Seaboard and the Haken Audio Continuum. Waiting on an Osmose. I also sold my Linnstrument, but mostly because I ...

Re: *** Vintage dealers taking the piss on used market ***

I bought a PS-3100 from a dealer that listed it as throughly gone through by their tech. I paid a premium price and found an obvious defect for which the dealer sent me a refund to get fixed. Unfortunately, these things can be subtle and it took me three or four months to discover all the problems w...

I am curious if this number reflects all the Music Tribe brands, or just Behringer?
I would think with TC Electronic, Midas, and the rest that the number would be a bit higher.

[Not even bloody close. Owler shows annual revenue for Roland at $700 million, and for Behringer at $18.2 million.

Re: *** Vintage dealers taking the piss on used market ***

I worked in a music store as the DX7 blew away the analog market. We had a huge stock of SH-101s and couldn't even move them @ $50US. I am not sure this was exactly Roland's fault. A bigger issue in synth retail at the time was how fast the technology was advancing. New models with twice as much pol...

Re: Behringer 2600

No attempt at all to balance the audio levels or record a reasonable audio signal. My Karp certainly is as beefy in the low end as I will ever need. But, if you really want to ruin your studio monitors, by all means avoid the Karp and use an original Arp or Barp to do it at full resonance into disto...

I have an A50 and the first 1/3rd of the keyboard aftertouch was working. I followed a thread and looked at the connections between the 3 boards, I had dry joints on the middle and upper connectors, resoldered them all and now my aftertouch is fully working.
