This thread has a misleading title... "community vinyl" makes it sound like this was going to be another 5U group compilation and this time on wax. EDIT: Just noticed the post above mine lol. At any rate, the soundtrack to I Dream Of Wires is on vinyl. Somewhat related since it is modular based. htt...

My initial reaction to just the photo was is 2U width really needed just for a snare? But after hearing the range of sound coming out of it I bit my tongue.
Nice sounds!

JIR's post of rearrangement reminds me of how modular is the gift that keeps giving. Even though many of us have shelled out lots of cash for them, its really nice that a year or more later you can simply rearrange the order & placement of your units and its like getting a whole new and inspiring se...

Yes, I'll second the point about it would not be good for what you want. I see the COTK analog delay as a retro, lofi delay. Mine produces a lot of noise actually which I always accept as just part of the deal. If you want clean HQ audio for vocals I'd suggest a rack effects device or a higher end e...

Yes, the Deep Equinoxe is awesome... love the 'deep' mode. I've even used the module simply as an LFO when in a pinch.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. Hey, there's a market for everything. I paid an insane amount of money for a fully restored Formanta Polivoks. Something I could have probably replicated with a basic monosynth and a Polivoks filter module or replica. However, I wanted the real, raw and somewhat unpr...

I don't mean to appear negative but what does this sequencer offer that our common ones we have today don't? Or is this some sort of nostalgic thing. I know very little of the Muse and just glanced at a few YouTubes to discover it appears to be a rather antiquated / somewhat cryptic thing from the 7...

There's a really nice ring mod in the MOTM-190 dual micro VCA. But it's 5U, not MU, and it's rarely available / out of production. Yeah I have that module and actually released a techno EP based off of the ring mod combined with a Polivoks filter lol. Fun stuff. [video]http://www.youtube.com/watch?...

I like the Oakley one... a bit more control than the one from Dotcom.

Corsynth's Odyssey of Sound VCO has one built in which is kind of cool too.

I'm glad you got it all (?) sorted out YES! Analog Craftsman power in one box, Dotcom power in the other, and the makeshift power supply has been thrown into the closet... just in case... lol. And just to be clear, this is what the setup looked like before: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix...

didnt know the euro doesnt have a constant output.. what are the other differences? Did you watch the demo at the start of this thread?? It's a competition now? lol Well gosh, he has both , what do you expect? Wow, not only was that musically beautiful but that 2nd half of drone / noise was especially tasty! I can see why that Synthtopia claimed the 5U version is 66% more awesome, as these can have a constant output, unlike the...
