To Do

:yay: I'm going to build a wasp filter soon. It seems like it will be a unique compliment to my other, more conventional filters. I watched a Doepfer vid on a Wasp filter and it seems to be really neat and somewhat "nasty" sounding. Which can be a nice color to have on the pallet for when patching. ...

Been There

I've had minor issues here and there when going the more expensive photo exposure method. I've made most the YuSynth modules and have had success. Recently I switched to Ironing on lazer prints/greyscale from thin magazine type paper you can get on Amazon for cheap. It works very well. Using a hot i...

banana plug on Euro

I'm going to build up a euro rack unit using banana plugs as an alternative. Does any body know what to do with all those unused grounds on the pcb's? Please suggest any tips or tricks for avoiding ground issues. Thank you. :bananaguitar:

I've recently acquired a shapeoko cnc mill. I'm going to use a ballnose bit to see if I can't cut some blank panels out of aluminum and use a break to bend the edges back. I've seen people cut aluminum on these mills, so It might work. Text is a stretch, but we'll see. The aluminum can be painted wi...

[I would definitely be interested if it were a kit without panel as i'm MOTM, even just a PCB with some of the more esoteric parts, or just the pcb (or two) :-) I grew up with shortwave radio, it's disappeared somewhat since the 80's, but you can still get a buzz from trawling the airwaves here in E...

5U bulder

I've been building my own 5U modules. I have started etching my own pcbs. Lots of YuSynth modules. Single sided pcb traces on YuSynth site have been most useful and generous to have been shared. I'd be open to build for others. Here's my projects portfolio. I'm open to new projects or designs as wel...

Stellar Performance!!!

That was a great show tonight. The audio levels were just right, not too loud. All three performances were stellar. The university campus was gorgeous with all the old buildings and brick work. The auditorium was grand and old. It even had an enormous pipe organ works hidden behind the front lattice...

Old School

Based on the original post...... You've made the right decision to go 5U if you are into John Carpenter, Goblin, Devo type stuff. Devo style bass lines will come out fat as "That's Good". No problem. I'm very glad I went with the larger format. I don't travel so the larger size and quality feels and...

Curetronic VCO

I ordered a VCO board from Curetronic a while back and worked it into a .com blank panel. I used female jumper cables to connect to the board and cut the other ends to solder to the Jacks and pots. I'm real happy with the VCO. I use it alongside three .com VCO's. Here's a link to my project for anyo...

Yusynth Panner / Mixer

I'm in the process of building one of the Yusynth panner mixers. It seems like it can serve as a nice stereo mixer as well, when no cv input is applied, so it should be rather useful. VC Panner - YuSynth I etched the panel from the circuit trace that is posted on the yusynth site. So far it's a pret...

I've received one of these boards in the mail. I've sourced all the parts and I am almost finished with populating the PCB. mfos diy mixer

I made my own stereo mixer off a schematic I found on the MFOS site. I can make some boards with stereo headphone out instead of the inverting outs, and maybe add a mixer link input for use with multiple mixer modules. Power Supply Failure

When plugging in a DIY module that I had just completed, I killed the -15v rail in myQPS1 .com power supply. :bang: I checked the fuses on the DC power interface module and both were still fused intact. Anyhow, does anybody know where I can find a schematic for the QPS1 that .com sells. I think they...

I've been wanting more than simply chromatic from the ardcore quantizer. Looks like my wish has been granted. I tested the script against my simpleseq hex module and it was very fun and much easier to dial in a usable pitch. I'll run it along side a beatstep to see what accuracy I can get from it. A...

Curetronic

I ordered a Curetronic Oscillator board the other day. Still no ship date, but look forward to getting it.

Looks like it has a .com power connector on board and will run on +- 15v for .com systems. Can't wait to try it out.
