A voice board contains one complete voice. I don't know any synth in which this is handled otherwise as it doesn't make sense.

not sure if the pots would fit so close together.
No problem with 9 mm pots. Even 16 mm pots might fit (they are often used in DIY guitar pedals).

Isn't that more a question of your location? Dotcom if you are in the US/America. MOS-Lab or COTK if you are in Europe. MOS-Lab has a different power system (+12V/-6V) so you have to use MOS-Lab modules then. COTK can power Dotcom compatible modules but uses +/-12V or +/-15V on their modules so I gu...

It doesn't really make sense to sell a board without a schematic - because even the rawest beginner can work back from the actual PCB and draw one. OK, not easy the very first time.. but a great skill to develop. Yeah, but that still takes some work/time and is prone to errors especially for beginn...

I'm pretty sure guys like Ian Fritz don't need the "cash flow" from PCB sales. This is merely a hobby and this discussion won't change a thing for them. Btw. "open source" doesn't mean "for free". And patents mean it's getting open source. And we don't need to expand this into a political discussion.

Well, there have been almost no videos out there when I got my VCAM. I think I didn't even look in the manual until now so it has nothing to do with being familiar with it. It's just a dead easy principle. It's the same principle as with compact synthesizers with a modulation matrix (EMS Synthi A, E...

Why is it that everything has to be a video explanation nowadays? :hmm: But there are already several videos out for the VCAM. What's wrong with them? Don't have a video but attached is a picture of a patch with an example on how to use it as a sequencer. The Clockwork can be replaced with basically anything that generates a clock or a trigger signal. The A-151s can, of course, be replaced with other switches with maybe more fancy functions like t...

So I've been through the manual and see nothing about the matrix effect driven by the CV jacks. Maybe because there is no "matrix effect". E.g. the CV input jack on row 2 column 3 causes the signal from input 2 to go into the output 3. The intensity is set by the corresponding CV signal which can a...

Many power supplies that are equipped with remote sense can cause catastrophic damage to the loads if they turned on while the sense leads are unconnected.

I've just found one interesting thing. output connectors soldered together Not that interesting as that is described in the manual. If you build your power supply into the case you don't need the remote sense pins. They are meant to regulate voltage drops from long connections. The main application...
