Re: disconnecting the speaker in Ciat-Lonbarde gear?
On the srine, the small oval port in the bottom contains a switch that lets you turn off the speakers. i just stick a small screwdriver inside and flick it off when I'm not using them.

Re: Din Datin Dudero thoughts and feels
These circuits are what you make them. Nobody can tell you the right way to build them or play them, especially given the intentional variance and multitude of choices left up to the builder. There’s a reason the original was is 2 separate boards. If you like how it sounds just touching the circuit ...

Re: Tocante Studworth
The phashi is great. I tuned it all by ear, I’m no good with software either. I’d stick the caps in, power it on with a battery, and if I liked the pitch I’d solder them in. It was a little hard bc each osc uses 3 caps on the phashi, and sometimes the caps would slip and loose the connection so I’d ...

Re: Tocante Studworth
There are instructions on the website but you’re supposed to cover the black section with nail polish so you can’t touch them, it’s the power and stuff and you don’t want to touch that. Everything outside of the black is good to touch and does the modulations of the original tocantes. I built a phas...

Re: MWRS - green bananas missing?
the mixer vcas seem to be the most undervalued part of pb2 and one of my favorite aspects. definitely wouldn’t take extra sequencer inputs over them Thanks- I really really really wish I had them. I got a V1 because because it was being sold super cheap. I also kinda like how big it is. But functio...

Re: MWRS - green bananas missing?
This confused me at first too and I have to say, I sure wish they were on version 2! There’s a whole world of fun I think we’re missing there 😭 V1 doesn’t have the VCAs on the mixer, so it’s a trade off. Now THAT’s a whole world of fun I think I’m missing with my V1. Ya, it is kind of a bummer - I ...

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS
Did the cap completely eliminate the noise or make it so the noise didn’t come in until past 12 o clock or farther?

Re: MWRS - green bananas missing?
Just got my PB2 and am enjoying it immensely, although my cats are going crazy with all the high Q madness. But I’m a little confused (surprise, surprise) with the manual. According to the manual, there should be additional green bananas to pulse the sequencer input, but all I see is the green bana...

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS
Did you replace the existing bypass cap or put the new 100pf in parallel? I’d like to see photos too.

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS
Actual electronic problems aren’t completely unheard of, I think there was one recently regarding a 5volt regulator, but in my very humble opinion the overwhelming majority of noise complaints on the forum are from people trying to use quiet signals, and other varieties of user error. I hope this h...

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS
Great, I’m glad! When I plug my Tetrax directly into the coco, I have to crank the input knobs all the way up to reduce the distortion. Same goes for the plumbutter.samule.edmoon wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 9:50 am
It sure helped! And kind of explains why I was mostly having the issue with the “gentler” CL pieces.

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS
I hate to sound like a dick but it’s honestly not THAT unpredictable, it just needs a ton of gain. It only seems unpredictable because you’re feeding it different things. The minimoog and easel probably sound good because they output hot signals. If you use the preamp on the left it’ll help boost th...

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS
You're sure there's enough gain on the signal? You're SURE? Like, gain before it hits the coco. Not gain from the buffer input knob.

Does anybody know what happened to the Smog Filter youtube channel? Are they on here? All the videos seem to be set to private now.

The middle section is actually one of the best modulators ever, period. In fact, when I use it with other synths I usually end up modulating the other synths with the cocoquantus! So yes, you should have noooo problem getting started with just the coco. Just keep in mind the range switches of the os...

I might be overlooking something really obvious (maybe the yellow output?) but my understanding is that there are plenty of similar looping delay modules out there with the same functions as the coco delays. Phonogene, Tyme Sefari, 4MS Dual Looping Delay, and even more granular stuff like Clouds. Fu...
