Re: Modular Addict taking a break?

It seems like the modularaddict.com domain is down now? Hopefully everything is ok.

It states "The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."

The Transient Modules 4R is 4 random in 2 hp, 2 independent random outs per the 2 trigger ins. There is no sample input but it's a good internal bipolar random. I've not notice any droop on scope but haven't fully tested it.
The 4R is digital, so there likely wouldn't be any droop over time.

Re: Potentiometer search

A does not always mean Audio! Sometimes it means linear. And then B is audio. Don't assume. Ah my mistake, I had always experienced A as audio and B as linear, so I thought this was standardized. I assume then the only way to know for sure is to look at the data sheet of the pot once identified, or...

Re: Potentiometer search

The "A1M" means it has a value of 1 megaohm, with an "A" taper (logarithmic aka audio taper). The shaft shape is "D-Shaft". You could measure the length of the shaft, and get a better look at the footprint of the part connecting to the PCB, and look on mouser.com or digikey.com for something with th...

Re: Small controller with SysEx

You could use a computer, small MIDI Box, Teensy microcontroller, etc. to go between any small midi controller and the Alpha Juno, in order to map the MIDI controller's CC messages to Sysex.

For example: https://www.matrixsynth.com/2019/05/ret ... trol2.html

Re: BANK

Has anyone been able to get access to a schematic for the Bank? I know it is based on the YuSynth module, but it would be easier to debug problems if a proper schematic is available. I also have issues with the LED jacklights, which aren't present on the YuSynth module.

Re: THE Microbrute Modification thread

Has anyone come up with modulation inputs for especially each oscillator knob? Would love to modulate these from euro! I assume you mean the mix of the oscillator waveforms (since the other oscillator knobs are already voltage controllable). You could do that, but it wouldn't be a simple thing. You...

Everything is slowed because of Covid, including shipping. If some portion of the Space Case production is delayed it makes perfect sense to start selling extra cases in the meantime.

Re: ES-8 Focusrite Clarett Ableton Issues

I don't have an ES-8, but I use an ES-3 and ES-6 with a Focusrite Saffire (through ADAT in/out) without any issues. If you aren't using ADAT for something else, I believe you could connect the ES-8 via ADAT, as you would the ES-3 / ES-6 combination. This would prevent you from having to create an ag...

Re: Logic Pro vs Ableton for eurorack

Ableton allows you to sell / transfer your license if you no longer use it. The license for Logic is purchased through the Mac App store and is non-transferrable. If a person is starting out and doesn't have any DAW, I think that is a good reason to avoid Logic and try something else first.

Re: Reducing Depth of Strom Power Module

It's probably easier to just replace the Behringer case with something else, it is especially shallow and you may have trouble fitting other modules as well. Both the Moog and Make Noise unpowered cases are deeper, I think the Make Noise should definitely fit the Strom, the Moog seems to be borderli...

I believe on modern Moog synths like the Sub 37 and Moog One, you can select on the panel for a 1, 2, 3, or 4 pole output of the ladder filter.

Yarns should always output a clock when it is receiving a MIDI clock. I don't know anything about the Octatrack but from your description it sounds like it is only sending MIDI clock when the sequencer is running? From your description I'm not sure if by sending MIDI notes you mean having steps acti...
