100% Easel, each track written and recorded in a short sitting, warts and all, then uploaded immediately (before I start fiddling, doubting, procrastinating, repatching etc).

Yes, no patch leads or bars plugged in (except the pulse, pressure & main cables). It's worked fine for years, this is a brand new problem. WHYYYYY!??

pulser problem

As of today the pulser on my BEMI 208 has gone weird. When in self cycle mode the tempo creeps up and down, seems to be fairly randomly (no noticeable ramps up or down). The top speed also seems to be a little lower than it should be. This is a brand new problem, last time I used it everything was w...

Are people going straight from the easel out into pedals? Wondering whether a reamp box would be worthwhile, wouldn't the level and impedance be wrong for fx pedals?

Bemi 218e problems - grounding?

I've recently received a BEMI Easel and I'm having issues with the 218e. I'm getting intermittent & sometimes stuttering triggers, occasional random notes unrelated to what's being played, and the octave/preset knobs are sometimes activated at random without being pressed. However... reading up it s...

Re: BEMI 208 knob replacement

I'm trying to replace the 200e knobs on a BEMI 208 with Rogans. It looks straight forward except the fine tune pots seem to flipped compared to the others. The other pots have the flat edge on the opposite side, which has been great as a flat edge for the Rogan's screw. For those with Rogans on you...

Anyone know if a uMIDI (40mm depth) will work in this bad boy? frap PLUS is listed as up to 43mm. uMIDI is listed at 40mm but not sure how that'll work with the power strip attached. I've been tricked by a few specs that don't account for a few millimeters and it results in a waste of time and $$ o...

I really hope they don't cop out on the midi tracks side of this.

The conditional trigs thing, plus some additional fun like arpeggiator, one finger chord, repeat/ratchet, different step modes, rotate, slide, generate random seq. It could be a really fun sequencer... Fingers crossed!

Are the CV outputs always quantized? I see lots of scale options, would hope you're not limited to quantized pitch.

Also - is there slide/glide?

Doepfer A184-1 problem

I'm having a problem with the A184-1, when using the S&H/T&H the output adds just under 1v (nearly an octave) to the input. I've returned one module, only to find the second one has exactly the same weird behaviour. The other issue both modules have had is that the slew limiter is slightly audible e...

Yep, it does this, there aren't many divisions though, I think you need to go to the "I/" menu. As I understand it this discussion is about when the TM is locked. The first step is whatever sounds like the first step to you. Say the TM is feeding a vco pitch, you lock it when you hear something you like. It's a natural thing to then start hearing timing applied to that loop in terms of a start...

There's no reset, so if stopped it will carry on from where it left off. When you have stopped a pattern with a definite '1' it is quite a pain to get back in sync. Brainseed /Bishop is probably the most convenient way round this. I was thinking about this yesterday - I suppose a manual trigger thro...

I agree. With super shallow cases like these the best solution would be a gender flipped cable that plugs straight into each module. Someone should totally make them, sell them and reap the gargantuan profit.

@necrobious
By flying bus board I mean the uzeus ribbon cables w/ enough extensions & connectors to power about 18 modules. It's a squeeze, I definitely wouldn't be able to fit an actual board in there.

I got one of these guys, the 4 pack (2 rows of 84hp). It is a thing of beauty, simple, compact, the wooden end cheeks looks fantastic. It's pretty shallow so it was a bit of a fiddle getting the flying bus board to sit right under the modules but no big deal. Really happy with it, good work Simone, ...

Reaktor 6 kept me happy when my modular was in storage. Saving & loading patches is a pretty awesome thing. The new west coast blocks are Makenoise-ish. Plus there's an ever growing library of weird and wonderful user created modules (which are free).
