Been mulling this over for a few months (unfortunately unable to procure modules or case due to life things), and have changed things up a bit- as well as included the sequencing row! A few things to note- with this system, I plan on pairing it with two Moog CP-251's. I think they're pretty much the...

Re: My First 5U System
I really, really like this as a starter MU system actually! Really well done, and smart to have added the Quad LFO.modmax69 wrote:

Just traded my Prophet 08 PE for a friend's Nord Lead 2, Moog Minitaur, Yamaha DX7 w/ memory card, and MuTron Phasor 1. Will have a few pics of things tonight, my gear is kinda spread across different places right now. Only grabbed the DX7 for a single show- I'm playing a "sound healing" concert for...

I feel like I'm the only one who likes the parameter value jumping! On my Little Phatty, I've been able to turn it into a neat "trick" when I'm playing live.mousegarden wrote:One big concern I'd have is do the knobs/sliders reflect actual settings ? Or are they those terrible things that jump to a value ?

Hm. I wonder what makes this so special, since I don't really know much about switches and triggers. The four inputs are normalised to 8th, 16th, 16th triplet, and 32nd note clocks with a 50 percent duty cycle, allowing you to perfectly replicate the behaviour of the Projekt Elektronik digital trigg...

whistles, this is a safe business bet with no risks, nothing new on offer here. That it is for sure Will all depends on the price..if the price is low just connect your 7octave master KB! I know, but this 4 octave business leaves people in a quandary, if you have a master keyboard, then you'll need...

I don't own enough gear to have that problem! :hihi: My studio setup is the same as my live setup, so it's actually rather "rinse and repeat" with respect to making the music, in the sense that all I have to do is power everything on, wait a bit for the Little Phatty to warm up, light some incense a...

Transitioning from euro to MU right now. Stylistically, I don't really patch in a complex enough manner, or use enough "out there" sounds to really justify the format. MU is more my speed, regarding the style of patching and the types of sounds that the format tends to gravitate towards. Plus, it'll...

I think this looks and sounds really good. Don't think we can really judge it or be critical of it until we have enough facts. :) Though, based on what we have seen, it certainly does look like a capable and tempting instrument. Especially with 12 voices- it's convenient if you like playing more art...

5 years x 1200 dollars annual budget = 6000 dollars = the nice eurorack you wanted but do not have due to buying standalone devices. Bite the bullet. Get your first 6U case and some modules at least. ....... So true, so true. If you are willing to build your own case (or have a friend / father-in-l...
