...now just trying to find a source for pratt reed bushings in the uk. I got mine from ebay but they didn't have any release agent (aka lubricant) on them. And you really should use the correct release agent (Dow Corning 7 Release Agent is recommended and it's expensive) or they won't work well. As...

I've got the Midiverb II and III. I love them for that late '80s digital colorful reverb sound. The II had less control than the III and I wouldn't be surprised if the original has virtually no control...just stock programs. They made good verbs for the price, but all the shortcomings listed above a...

Trying to quantify "popularity" is kind of like trying to quantify "poisonous." You cannot say something is poisonous unless you also include "at such-and-such a dose." EVERYTHING is poisonous in the correct dose. Drink too much water and your brain will swell up and kill you -- yes, this has happen...

I think there are plenty of situations where it would be interesting, like when using the VCO at LFO frequencies. Controlling something else with a crossfading waveform can have a fairly dramatic effect. When used in conventional melodic synthesis, at audio frequencies, it's not all that exciting, b...

Well ... you CAN ... but you probably don't WANT to! Passive multis are bi-directional in that nothing's s...

Sourcing parts project by project, I imagine would be a pain. You have to go to the trouble of sending orders for each and every project. Then orders arrive with wrong parts or missing parts ... or you have to order from 2 or 3 sources in the first place. Yep, PITA. But what I did, though more expen...

Kits always seem too expensive to me. I know why they cost so much, 'cause they're a pain to put together ... but if you're going to get into DIY then buying common parts in bulk is the way to go. So, the cheapest way to do DIY is probably just buying panels plus PCBs. Then assemble your own parts. ...

Well, one obvious difference between this model and the original, like the one I have, is that when you tune all 3 oscillators and then switch one of them to a different octave ... you don't have to re-tune the new one.
