Yeah, I kind of agree with the vocal dominance. I had a version where they were too low, so I probably overdid it a bit.

If you want versatility, I'd definitely go for the Cirklon. It has it all. If you get on with the interface, it can do pretty much anything. An analogue sequencer is a bit more hands on (Cirklon too, but maybe not as much), but, like you say, is more limited. On the other hand, if you have a access ...

Yes, thanks, that's what I thought. Sorry for being unclear.

I just realized, though, that when not in swirl-mode, you can of course use two voltages to position the signal wherever you like, rate for left right, and amp for front rear. That works perfectly for my needs.

Re: 227e - Voltage controlled panning possible?

Is it possible to have VC over the quad panning on the 227e? In other words, possible for a ramp wave to gradually sweep through the four outputs? I know voltage in affects the rate or amp, but I haven't really been able to control it properly. What I would like is, for example, to use a random vol...

Oh, my system is an 18-spacer filled with 16 of the pretty mostly regular stuff, but also including a P/R and a 258 clone.

Any 210e patching tips?

I bought a second hand system a few months back, and of the little time I have actually had to spend with it, none has gone to the 210e. Pretty obvious, when thinking that getting to know the rest of the system would be a semi-prerequisite for using the 210e to any extent. Anyway, I would love to he...

250e - Possible to run on external clock?

I am still very much a Buchla-noob, so pardon my ignorance. I haven't been able to get the 250e to advance it's stages to an external clock/pulse. I can't seem to find anything about it the manual either.

Is it at all possible (without the 225e, I guess)?

Re: made 1st software song using Reason underwhelmed with so

I really feel software does not compare to hardware analog synthesizers. I thought a versus-thread was exactly what you were going for with this? wow that's clever. you guys are having fun now right? just what you needed. I guess you can't just simply state what's on your mind without people gettin...

Interesting. I too run the Buchla - preamp/converter/digital soundcard, but I can swear there is a hum sometimes. If you are using something else than the Cincon brick I would be interested too. Evt hvor du fant den? Claesern? :hihi: Hehe, no, not Claes Ohlsson. I ordered from ELFA in Sweden. But i...

It looks like it might be a grounding problem with the PSU I sourced locally do you mean you are NOT using the Cincon brick that comes with the cabinet, but another brand? Yes, would this be a problem? The specs are similar enough, I reckon. Same voltage, a bit more amp a bit more wattage shouldn't...

Managed to completely eliminate the hum when going in through the soundcard. This means, of course, that the problem is of very little practical importance. Which is good.

Ok, managed to find time to check this out further yesterday. It looks like it might be a grounding problem with the PSU I sourced locally. It is not grounded, and the hum disappeared when routing the audio from the Buchla through other grounded stuff, like an external synth. I had only tried pluggi...

Didn't have a chance to test the tini-jax on the front, but at least the rear outputs were tested with both balanced and unbalanced cables.

I'll open it up and have a look. But given that the signal from the synth was present, I assumed it was connected properly. Equal hum/signal on all four outputs.
