Elektron Model Samples Workflow/tips/tricks/etc?

I picked up a model: samples a while back and think it's a great machine and a lot of fun to play with. I am however having a bit of difficulty in getting my head around the wide angle view of it and was wondering if any experts might want to share any tips etc for working with it? I find every new ...

Re: Arturia Keystep pro

Just got my Keystep Pro and individual tracks...die. That is, at the moment Track 1 is dead. Deceased. No CV coming out. A few hours ago it was track 2 until it wasn't. Has anyone experienced this? Do I have a lemon? There's a good chance that it's the voice allocation/poly that's throwing you off,...

Factory Bones

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gt-Hgs74Eh4 I keep meaning to make more post rock stuff but we'll see if this spurs me on. I keep meaning to actually record some guitar loops to feed into the er-301 but we'll see. Shut up, you've been thinking about Labradford this week. 4ms Ens Osc, Plaits, Rings,...

Re: Announcing ALM017 - Pamela's NEW Workout

Curious to know if there is a way using the Logic option to configure multiple outputs of Pam's to mimic the run state. I can get this working using external utility modules, but wondering if this can be done internally. So my question; On a per-channel basis, is there a way to have a channel outpu...

does it's LFO reset to the trigger too, or is the trigger exclusive to just the "delay" part?
Yes (although I'm not entirely sure if it resets the cycle so much as the phase - I imagine given B's record for 'innovation' it'll behave exactly as the original 140 circuit did whatever that is).

Re: Mutable Instrument Tides v2 - problems with audio-rate modulation?

You're modulating the slope input there so the extremes are going to be hard edges. If you want to modulate the frequency with audio rate modulation then you want to be an input over to the right.

Re: TipTop QuantiZer mystery

You've really got 3 different part of the whole to look at 1. Input - is whatever you have plugged into the quantizer definitely putting out 0v where you expect it to? (ie. check it with a meter) 2. The quantizer settings (will vary for different quantizers obviously). does it put out 0, 1, 2v as yo...

Re: Arturia Keystep pro

Am I missing something or does the KSP not record velocity from the keybed when step recording? I can edit the velocities but it doesn't seem to record it unless doing so in real time. Or moving the velocity knob for each step recorded. Which...hrmm, why the limitation? It makes more sense that way...

Re: Behringer System 100 140 Dual Envelope/LFO

I picked up a little block of these because I've never even been in the same room as a system 100 before, I would never pay that sort of money anyway and I love the sound of my sh-01a and ju-o6a. For the price, I couldn't be happier with them, the dual osc takes a maybe 20 minutes to warm up/stabili...

Its always important to check the documentation when installing alternative firmware.

In Parasites, mode change is done by pressing both black buttons.

6hp, black, 4x passive lpg's. Re: Behringer Roland System 100M clone

Maybe I'm just lucky in that my cases are a nice stable temperature, but after about 20 minutes of warm up, I reckon my 112 tracks a good 6 or 7 octaves which is far better than any other analogue oscs in my cases so 'faulty' might not be the most accurate of terms. I always find these sort of bench...

Re: Noisy Waveforms on PNW ?

Couple of things. 1. Moddemix is by design not a normal clean VCA, it has a bit of a bump before the diodes kick in and it's expected to make the signal a bit fuzzy. 2. As far as I remember, the resolution of outputs on Pams is directly related to it's internal clock so you can get cleaner waves by ...

Re: Doepfer A-140 Not Working

Ahhh, it could be a beginner thing, maybe you're visualizing things not entirely accurately? So the envelope itself ONLY generates a voltage, it doesn't process audio, for that you'll need a VCA with the audio patched to 1 input, and the envelope outputs plugged into the other input. The VCA will th...

Re: Reproduce two fm operator mutable plaits

I usually just use Plaits of Braids for FM as the algo's are pretty much perfect and they're just there already. If I want to mix things up though, a pair of STO's (and if you want to make it more dynamic some VCAs betwixt) can get into some interesting territory. You can just modulate one with the ...
