Re: Behringer Roland System 100M clone

Maybe I'm just lucky in that my cases are a nice stable temperature, but after about 20 minutes of warm up, I reckon my 112 tracks a good 6 or 7 octaves which is far better than any other analogue oscs in my cases so 'faulty' might not be the most accurate of terms. I always find these sort of bench...

Re: Noisy Waveforms on PNW ?

Couple of things. 1. Moddemix is by design not a normal clean VCA, it has a bit of a bump before the diodes kick in and it's expected to make the signal a bit fuzzy. 2. As far as I remember, the resolution of outputs on Pams is directly related to it's internal clock so you can get cleaner waves by ...

Re: Doepfer A-140 Not Working

Ahhh, it could be a beginner thing, maybe you're visualizing things not entirely accurately? So the envelope itself ONLY generates a voltage, it doesn't process audio, for that you'll need a VCA with the audio patched to 1 input, and the envelope outputs plugged into the other input. The VCA will th...

Re: Reproduce two fm operator mutable plaits

I usually just use Plaits of Braids for FM as the algo's are pretty much perfect and they're just there already. If I want to mix things up though, a pair of STO's (and if you want to make it more dynamic some VCAs betwixt) can get into some interesting territory. You can just modulate one with the ...

Glad it's a simple fix. Don't feel bad, it's just one of those things that once you know, you know.

Hope you're back up and running nice and quick.

Re: Batumi: two further questions on expert mode

Here's what I could find in my archive. The individual wavebanks fw that I use, I think doesn't have a download and the instructions are just on the website (should probably save a copy for reference). Presented for reference, dates are when I DL'd them as opposed to any official releases etc. READM...

Re: Doepfer LC6 case won't turn on (not the fuse?)

Which 2 fuses are you referring to as there are 3 involved in the picture? There's one inside the switch housing, one on the board that has the transformer on it and also there's probably one in the plug end of the IEC cable. If the 2 case ones are showing continuity, try another IEC cable if you've...

Re: XAOC BATUMI

It sounds as if you're maybe slipping into the 'zoom' mode? To enter zoom mode, hold the central button for a second until the current mode LED starts to blink. This mode upscales the slider travel around the central value to allow for precise adjustment. To exit zoom mode, press the central button ...

Re: Behringer Roland System 100M clone

Always appreciate your analysis/comparisons @Synthbuilder . I've had the 112 for a few weeks and am still feeling it out. Sometimes I swear I get a solid 7 octaves bang on tune (using a keystep pro) and other times it feels like it's struggling to stay in tune over an octave. I actually opened a sup...

A Door Of Jutting Bone

https://erstlaub.bandcamp.com/album/a-door-of-jutting-bone Another in the ongoing series of mental breakdown channeled through the knobs. Re: Ensemble Oscillator from Matthias Puech & 4ms Company

I was having fun the other day using a set of pressure points to play/sequence both pitch and scale per step, I imagine if I was of a mind to, using the ER101 would yield good results too, basically anything that has more than 1 voltage output per stage. If you wanted to you could always make *recor...

Re: Behringer Roland System 100M clone

Made a slightly useful discovery on the 112 while running some things through my scope earlier that wasn't entirely clear from the manual. The sync output sends out a square wave with PWM (including any cv that it's under) so you can use that for a square output while having the 2 idential outputs 1...

Re: Behringer Roland System 100M clone

So I wasn't really thinking much about these until someone I know posted on twitter at the weekend that they'd picked up the LFO/S+H/Noise module. I was looking at it thinking 'damn, that's a pretty handsome looking module' and before I knew it I'd ended up getting a voice worth of them. 100m.jpeg ...

Re: Did I misinterpret the PNW Quant function?

Yes and No. So here's a sneaky little hack for running any external CV through the quantizer. 1. Take any channel, set the wave type to any regular wave, set the multiplier to anything 2. Long press and select 'level', set it to CV1 or CV2 and set your desired scale. Long press again to exit 3. Back...

Re: Doepfer PS3 Troubleshooting

1. Disconnect the modules you connected incorrectly. If these are damaged they might be causing a short or other weirdness. Re-check all your other modules are plugged in correctly, the case flashing on and off is often an indication that something else is connected wrong. 2. Clear a space so you ca...

Re: Announcing ALM017 - Pamela's NEW Workout

Lovely stuff as ever. Rev 52, updated with an old macbook using the ALM Firmware updater, took just a few seconds. Had a sneaky look at the smooth random waves on a scope as it modulated a filter and can confirm it does exactly what it needs to and sounds great with it. Logic is really smartly integ...

Doepfer Case/Busboards Update 2020

So, it's not the most exciting thing but I got a new PMS12 today and lo and behold, the busboards now have shrouded headers. It must be a fairly recent thing as I bought a monster base late last year and it didn't have shrouds. Personally I'm used enough to the old ones and triple checking connectio...

Yeah, I wouldn't hold your breath for any semblance of support or interest from Soundmachines. It's been over a year since the people dumb enough to fund the kickstarter to be unwitting beta testers for the very shonky 'flagship' 'product' Arches last had any of its numerous issues even acknowledged...

Screen Shot 2020-07-05 at 17.22.43.png Incredibly slow round of applause. It's been a year since Soundmachines basically abandoned the people who were daft enough to fall for the kickstarter campaign. It had so much potential and basically all they needed to do was listen to and implement feedback ...
