Re: The elusive 'all black' panel themed euro systems.

I'm getting close to all-black with one of my racks. I received the second of the BKM panels I've ordered, and this one came with a Jack Chick tract. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This one had a Jesus fish printed on the back, too, can't remember if the past one did. I mean, it doesn't affect the quality of the panels,...

NLC Dual LPG

I'm curious about this module. The demos of this that I can find focus on using it as a filter, showing off the squelchy resonance. How does it do for more typical 'bongo' patches? Something I like about the LxD, the Sputnik, and the Pittsburgh is that they're good at relatively sharp plucks, with t...

Re: What do you use for a flanger?

I'm guessing you are looking for module answers, but here's what I do. Malekko SND/RTN w/ an A/DA Flanger is my best option. It is the tightest cleanest flanger there is. I also use a Serge WAD (not so clean), but it is not in Euro. I have three Malekko SND/RTN's and they are a great option in a sm...

What do you use for a flanger?

I've searched the forum about this already, but this kind of effect seems unnecessarily difficult in Euro, especially considering how common it is in pedals and digital rack units. Most Euro delays don't get down to the 1-10ms range that's nice for flanging, or they have weird CV/control scaling, or...

Re: 2hp Comb

Anybody have examples of this being used for "normal" flanger duties, i.e. LFO to frequency CV? The frequency control (whether CV or knob) has audibly sized steps, so if you put smooth CV into it you will hear the steps. I don't think that would work well. Yeah, that sounds useless for the purpose....

Minor plug: I added an Expert Sleepers Little Mikey to my 6U, and with that I can record quiet sounds through my SM57 with no LTE noise garbage. :cloud:

Re: Cell phone noise in microphones?

There are cell towers on the building across the street from my apartment, and ever since I've lived here I've notice that certain synth circuits - especially filters of old design and preamps - pick up nasty noise that sounds like this . It's especially noticeable on the internal mics on my Tascam ...

So will Behringer continue to be the great savior of affordable synthesizers by delivering this for $50 less than a TT-303 and the same price as a TB-3?

The yamaha rev100 is VERY similar to the midiverb ii sound. Arguably more so than the mv3 or mv4. They aren't popular in the usa or europe, but in asia, live sound people go CRAZY for them. It has some magic to it just like the mv2, but youre not locked to presets only. How different is this from t...

When I used to go out clubbing back in the day :youkids: it just made it easier to know what type of evening you were letting yourself in for. There were so many different nights and no internet so you either had to follow DJ's, labels, or go by the sub-genre on the flyer. Nowadays, at least here i...

Larkin is super inspiring. Regardless of gear, he has such a great attitude on life and music in general, and on top of that he's one of the Detroit greats, still at it. Sure, he's got the funds for the best toys, but I get the feeling he wouldn't need them to still be inspired.

I built one of these a while back, and while it does load DX7 patches, I'm disappointed at how differently it plays them back compared to something like Dexed, thanks to the differences in algorithms/envelopes/LFOs/etc. Do not buy one hoping to get a DX7 in a small box - it's not that. Now to wish f...

Finished building mine last night. It's bliss. It's replacing a DIY Ripples, which is... fine? Just overly polite, without as wide a palette. I didn't use the specified LED. I used a common-cathode RGB LED from Mouser, which has a different pinout, so the colors won't match up with the manual, but i...

Possibly reflects more on YouTube users than modular users... Also what the yt algorithms are shoving down your throat. I suspect most modular users are not trying to make "songs" too! Likewise, many people have probably figured out what kind of content the algorithm rewards, what gets them likes/c...

Having been a Euro user for over a decade now I find these sorts of threads amusing. Now it is easily the most innovative format because it allowed for diversity and multiple wa...

Does this module still give folks trouble when it comes to staying in sync? Are there certain MIDI clock sources that it plays better with? Thinking about using one to clock a row of Euro from a TR-09.
