Re: Favorite module that no one knows?

Noise Reap Bermuda is a super cheap and great sounding VCO with a nice little waveshaper. The only thing I wish was that the waveshaper had CV control. but considering I bought and sold it for around £40, I thought it was a solid bargain.

FH-1, Digitakt & Overbridge

Hi, I've done a bit of digging online but haven't quite found the answer to my question, so posting here. I recently picked up a new FH-1 (got an extremely good deal on a brand new one - probably one of the last ones out there) as a simple solution for sending MIDI note, clock and CC data from my Di...

Wow, I wish I kept mine. I paid around £600 for a used one a few years ago.

That price is outrageous. It's pretty subjective, but to me, it's not really worth it. It was fun to own for a time, but I ultimately moved it on.

I managed to turn it on this morning and do a factory reset which didn't sort the issue. Fortunately TE mailed me back extremely quickly to tell me that it sounds like a faulty power switch. It needs to be sent back for repair, which is fine, unfortunately it's out of warranty so there's a cost impl...

When it's on it works absolutely fine without issue. When it's off it does strange things. The moment I switch it off it repeatedly turns itself off and on and does that until it seems to drain the battery or won't turn on. Currently it's off and appears completely dead. I've tried different cables,...

Anyone had issues with Teenage Enginnering OP-1?

I recently acquired a used OP-1 through the forum and since it arrived I've been experiencing quite serious technical issues with it. I have emailed TE's tech support, but not sure if they provide much support for used products. I'm awaiting approval on ohpeewon to try and gather some more info, but...

Tim Stinchcombe modified mine, and a wonderful job he did too.

A three position switch was added to give to additional envelope times. I had fast, slow and stock settings.

You need the AS Mk II (one step pentatonic) Signature edition.

I think this guy is getting some unnecessary flak here. I've read through his posts and everyone else's and he seems like a reasonable guy. So yeah, he buys synths, restores them and sells them on at profit. So what? RL Music have been doing that here in the UK for years and I don't think they've be...

Oh I wasn't doubting it's value, it certainly seems to be one of the 300 series that is held in the highest regard by system owners. My thinking was really around what the op could do in the event of not being able to source one easily.

For that money you could buy a brand new classic VCO and pick up a used Miniwave. Not quite the same I know, but in the ballpark.

That's a really useful and interesting review. Thank you.

I'm still not 100% sold on it, I'm in the market for a keyboard mono and between this the ms20 mini and the Minitaur I'm not sure if it's going to hold up.

Yes I didn't really think of ones with a hold key. Ill keep that in mind when looking. It would still require a note on message or key press though. Seems like the dsi stuff is fairly unique in this respect.

Hmm perhaps a tetra then. Still not 100% sold on it though. I don't really want to use an editor to program the thing. Using a sustain pedal would certainly be the sensible option and I'm sure that will end up ultimately as the route I take, however it would be interesting if it could be done withou...

Polysynths with control of vca level

Not sure if the title of this thread quite describes what I mean, but I'd be intersted to know of any polysynths (analogue, digital VA, whatever) that have control over the initial level of the vca. I used to really like the feature on my evolver that enables you to effectively bypass the vca allowi...

I don't have attack even on my modular envelopes. This seems quite fun, altough "sync envelope"? I hope there's a way to just normally tweak it by hand, maybe having long enough decay time. The interface seems quite ingenious, a lot of sensible functions packed to a small box. Come on, even an anal...

Lack of attack on the envelope is deal breaker for me. Absolutely no reason not to include it. I won't buy this unless I see it in the window of cash generator for £50.
