I need help with panel layout, & PCB design and layout

is this the right place to post? I want to make a custom control surface, mixer style with about 12 rows, each with a slide pot, 2-3 buttons, and 3-4 knobs. I'll want to connect the pots and switches to an arduino of some sort (via multiplexers), perhaps a teensy, so that I can program the sliders t...

see if tiptop will sell some to you - i think they take m3. i went through this but it was like 7 years ago and i'm pretty sure i went with the 84hp version of the product linked above. it was too cheap and I just bought 2.5m screws and got rid of all my m3 mounting. I had a 104 hp case and just cut...

would a PLL, quantizer, and something like echophon potentially get the job done?

I'm not saying that this would be practical, and I can't imagine ever wanting to use it in live performance, but I find it worth considering as an exercise.

maths - fav envelope generator i've found in any synth yet. i like it better than the DUSG itself or the 281. doepfer LPG - underdog, simple, sounds great, low pass filter mode is nice as well. braids - who knew that a modular oscillator could be so musical and still very open with lots of possibili...

haven't owned the creature but I like my new BOG way more than i liked the phenol, but I could see it going both ways depending on preferences. I love the DUSG, the filter, and modulation design on the BOG / serge system. It just makes sense to me. Now I want some more serge / cgs stuff tho...

i find the envelope shapes from MATHS appeal to my ears, and when I have a desire to create a certain envelope, I can almost always do so with MATHS. I find no good use for ADSR envelopes so there's that.

What could I use the function or maths or VCS for in that little setup? As an envelope generator, for the LPG & for the vco modulation index. And ya the doepfer LPG might not have the magic of the qmmg, but then again I never Disliked the sound or had any trouble getting the sounds I wanted out of ...

i'm all about the mini bongo machine. mine is braids, maths, and doepfer LPG. but ya, still branches (or other) for random triggers. hertz donut is good but I find braids to be better, for me. had hertz donut v1 and v2 and loved em both but kept braids cause it does almost everything i wanted out of...

there is mains wiring going inside the doepfer case so you could get an outlet installed for the roland power supplies. i'd zip tie or double stick (VHB?) them down if you plan on moving your case around much

you could always put a little sticker on the faceplate if it bothers you, and "change the order" of the modes. Ya, I know the EG isn't off, hence the quotes. Should have written LED state of EG. Anyway, it's not the fact that it starts up in AHR/Steps/Absolute value mode that bothers me, it's that t...

my pittsburg cell case is "too small" but i was able to get everything in there and screw it down before it popped out. how close is it? I took the last 2 modules and set them up like an A and pushed down. works for me, looks good, and feels sealed up since there are no air gaps

i've used v4 in all kinds of situations and seem it used in many many many more without worrying about power, and I've never had an issue. LZX is less proven but same - never had an issue. That said, I'd keep them on the same circuit if possible - the power issues I have had on gigs were from being ...

Re: Sequencers (Oberkorn, Dark time), ObieRack and Moog Phat

in either case, it "generates notes" which means triggers the synths envelopes, and controls the pitch cv for each note. turn each step on or off, and no need to play the keyboard.
