Re: Daft Punk split
I never got the hype over Discovery and Homework, and I've always hated autotune. Da Funk was great, obviously, and one or two others, but most sounded like stems that just went on and on without any kind of development. The Alive 2007, though, what a monster! It's what they should've done with thos...

Re: 3U vs 5U
You should've posted in the Modular Synth General Discussion forum for input from folks in all scenes. Anyway, you weren't very clear in your question. Are you trying to decide between formats? Assuming that's the case, size - as someone pointed out above - is the obvious difference. If you're after...

I'd be very interested! I'm still kicking myself for not buying the set after I saw John Rice's demo.

Re: Specifics about TS/TRS cables for DC Coupled audio interfaces
I think these posts were useful and informative. I am glad they were in this forum, as I would not have seen them otherwise. Bluntly, you should get out more. To flip this around, my set-up is largely 4U/5U so why should I have to come here to not miss good posts on monitors, for example? Of course...

Lovely stuff! Do show patch notes, if that's not too much trouble.
I should do the same, but I'm not set up for demos, TBH. Some time soon, I hope.

Re: Specifics about TS/TRS cables for DC Coupled audio interfaces
Why is this in the Euro forum? The way it's going we should just merge Eurorack with General Gear. That way the threads on monitors, headphones, interfaces, multitracking, etc might actually be relevant. Don't be lazy! Read and post in the other forums. Jeez! <rant over>

Re: How to get that Nik Turner synth sound?
For early Hawkwind sounds just a couple of oscillators, a filter and an lfo should get you pretty close, add delay and you’re in. That my friend is why this is in the euro thread... :bang: So, these don't exist outside Euro? I'm sure 5U guys have an interest in Hawkwind, and the discussion is now w...

Where are you based? Vermona's in Europe and Ekdahl's in the States. Think about that regarding repair/support and buying the damn thing in the first place?

Noisebug looks to have stock of the DDN. https://www.noisebug.net/products/pittsburgh-modular-cascading-delay-network?_pos=3&_sid=a096898b7&_ss=r I love the sound and philosophy of Pittsburgh, but they're also incredibly frustrating for me. Re: What's up with Pittsburgh?
I love the sound and philosophy of Pittsburgh, but they're also incredibly frustrating for me. Everything seems to be built on limited runs, and very little makes it over to Europe. I wanted one of those cascading delays, but apparently only 100 were made and I can't get hold of one for love nor mon...

Post in the 5U forum? There's current excitement over there about (official) Serge DUSG and SSG modules. I bet they'll be up for something Buchla-esque.Dr. Sketch-n-Etch wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 7:43 pmI wanna sell a 5U one -- they are so pretty, and soooo much easier to build (plus I can build the whole thing rather than just the guts).

Re: Bagoly Frequency Shifter (LW-format) Quick Patch
Hey everyone, I thought I’d chime in and clear a few things up! First, I’d like to apologise for the lack of information on my modules. Well, to my excuse they’re technically not even out yet, haha! I did send a couple of PCBs for each module to Charlie (Loudest Warning), so all the Bagoly modules ...

Re: Bagoly Frequency Shifter (LW-format) Quick Patch
Thanks for this! There seems to be little info out there on Bagoly modules. How would you say it compares to other frequency shifters you've tried? The only other analogue FS I’ve had was the DACS Freque, which was more versatile in some ways, and less so in others. The carrier suppression on this ...
