Welcome back, Doc! 🍾
Thanks, man! Now let's just see if I can keep all my opinions to myself long enough to stick around. This new "regime" is pretty strict.
Living on the edge. 8-) I'd wondered why you'd gone quiet. Good to see you around again!

Keep in mind, this is just my personal opinion, others will have different recommendations; like Loudest Warning, which will allow more flexibility, but would be missing some of the options available from both R*S and STS. Some great advice there, Luchog, but bear in mind Loudest Warning will build...

by the way - for a "starter system" this seems big! would be way too much for my brain to wrap around all at once. still twiddling away and finding so much in individual "basic" serge-style modules over and over again. but perhaps that's just me... I started small I guess I agree with this. I'd rec...

Interesting! I'm wondering how different the two circuits are in practical use. I always thought the Buchla and Serge wavefolders sounded fairly similar. Here's an old thread about it: viewtopic.php?t=78534

For anyone here with both Akemie’s Castle and the Humble Audio Quad Operator, each with their pros and cons, I’m curious as to whether or not one or the other has ended up becoming your go-to module for FM.

Nothing to do with the fattest sound necessarily. Life's too short and there's too many modules. 8-) Uh, Pro1 definitely sounds fatter than a Nord Lead 1 Yeah, in your example, but we're talking about TZFM VCOs. In my case, I love the sound of the Rubicon, clear to gloopy (your word, brilliant!); a...

Re: Intellijel Rubicon 2 vs SSF Zero Point Oscillator

The NTO shape morphing blew my mind, I've never really heard anything like it from just a single oscillator. To my ears the ZPO is definitely leagues below it in this regard. I've never, in all my years with synths, been so happy to just tweak a single, unprocessed, analog oscillator. The Rubi's TZ...

Bumping this thread again, I have had a long time to think since my above post in November. I am thinking a third panel will be LW format to try a few things and keep it flexible. I hope to add the upcoming Turing Machine adaptation, maybe the crap programmer etc. to cover sequencing in that third ...
