Problem with uploading waves on Piston MK3

Hi! I'm haveing problems with uploading wavetables from SD-card to my Piston honda. If i have understood everything correctly, There should be at least one wavetable of 64 waves on the card. The card has to be formatted in FAT. The file names mus be 1.wav, 2,wav ... etc. The wave table on the card i...

Ok i was exaggreating when i said 30 octaves. But in VCO mode it is still like a slow LFO and in LFO mode it is even slower. Could it be some kind of firmware crash?

Shapeshifter problem

My shapeshifter started acting weird recently. Its like osc 1 has dropped about 30 octaves down. In bootjh VCO and LFO modes. Also The modulation routing seems to have gone of the rails. Is there anyone here who recognize this particular problem?

I would say Disapointing is not really the right word here. But there are modules that i haven't clicked at all with for different reasons. Mostly because i my self had to become more clear over what i was really looking for. But for me it is: Herzdonut mk1. Functionally it is a great VCO, but i jus...

The WMD/SSF Spectrum sweeps over amall range, making it very fine tuned and precise. More VCO's should be like this imo.

I would definitely go for one more filter! The wasp filter is kind of special and a bit low-fi. I would go for a more versatile "high end" filter with more extended options. Like the Corgasmatron or Three sisters. And the i would add more modulation like SSF ultra random. And swap your present LFO f...

The 4075 will be my next buy. I will swap my Division 6 Filtare for this one. Since i almost only use the lowpass mode on the Filtare. The 4075 seems to have way more balls. The Filtare is not bad in any way, on the contrary, it's very high qualty. But to clean, tidy and vanilla for my taste. I want...

I think the Korgasmatron would be right up your alley, if you like the MS 20 character. The korgo can bee much more clean and precice, but it can also go very dirty depending on the drive settings. And if you want four pole filters that are well behaved and not too ballsy, try the Division 6 filtare...

The FM aid is not really a wavefolder, its a phasemodulator. You can get some folder like timbres out of it though, especially if you only put one audiosignal in to it and let the FM aid feedback modulate it self. But FM aid can go into completly other territories if you modulate two different signa...

The Bubblesound SEM 20 or Amsynths JP6 multimode would fit there. Thoose seem like nice multimode filters.

Mannequins Three sisters also seem very nice, if youre in to more far out stuff.

I understand! It's better to be safe than sorry. :-)
But when it comes to patching , i dont think i know of any way you could destroy anything in a system, as long as you use the voltages within the system or from a CV source.

So just go a head and experiment!

The signal from modulars are hot, so they will attenuate the the level in the mixer anyhow. But if you use a DC offset in the middle of the chain of a patch, the offset it self doesn't usually remain through out the patch, only the audible effect the offset had on the module you fed it in to. And pu...

It's no problem at all, as long as you use voltages in the normal range, such as gates etc. No risk of damage to modules. There is acutally modules that purpously generates DC offsets, because they are very usefull in some situations. If you combine an audiosignal with an DC offset you might get cli...

I have the A-137-1 and i had the TWF also. The A-137-1 is one of the most interesting folders out there. It has more parameters than most folders. When modulated, they can give a wonderful internal animation and life to a sound. It can be really brutal and harsh sounding if you don't turn down the a...

My experience is, that you can most definitely get the "old gold vintage sound" out of a modular. It's just a matter of which modules you choose. As far as monophonic synths goes, that is. Polysynths would be a different matter though. I have owned a bunch of old analogue synths over the years, like...
