mines standing... i just grouped things into different sections, like i have the drums top left, synths top right, filters lower left, utilities/overflow bottom right and the long thin case along the bottom is a control/output section. I previously would group things so in my typical patch the cable...

i use two WMD compressors as limiters on my sub bass channels... they get passed through a several resonant filters and phasers under lfo control so the potential is there to accidentally send out some toasty boosted freqs when messing around with the controls... the limited signal often sounds nice...

Intellijel are really good, someone sold me a borked secondhand metropolis, i left it sitting around for over a year or so before getting around to calibrating it and thus realising it was actually fcked. by this point of course the manufacturer had no obligation to help at all, and I have had other...

Thanks, I hear what you are saying :) that one has a nice vocalish bleeps and bloops going on, didnt manage to preserve that aspect as I changed the patch sadly but thats life!

Thanks, have to admit I have never listened much to Kraftwerk! Perhaps they used some similar hardware to what has been cloned in my rack?

i was just sidechaining some thing today and checked the gain reduction ... was peaking around -20 db, just for your interest :) i think thats probably about the average that i use

interesting, do you record the modular part and overdub the piano later so you know what is going on beforehand? Or perhaps the generative part is somehow predictable? Or are you just winging it and hoping for the best?
