Re: Cheapest damn way to play a sample?

For DIY playback it is hard to beat the SparkFun WaveTrigger ($51) and the Tsunami ($79). All you have to add are the switches. CD quality playback, 12-16 files at a time, ad long a file as you can fit on a card, MIDI capable, Stereo (WaveTrigger) and 8-channel (Tsunami) output. I have had a Tsunam...

I can confirm that Metropolis works well with Palettes. I have reseated mine several times without any issues at all.
That's great, thanks!

Re: Intellijel Palette 4.5U Cases

Can anyone confirm that the Metropolis works in the Palette case? I had a hard time finding images (or user stories) of Palettes with Metropolises. With the case module depth specs at 45.5mm (according to the web site) and the Metropolis coming in at 45mm, it seems like it would possibly touch the b...

Re: 5U sounding Oscillator, not in 5U format?

I've always loved the sound of 5U modular. I'm guessing it's the higher voltage used that makes it sound beefier than stuff I hear from Eurorack Wouldn't that also imply that the original Moog synthesizers sound anywhere between 3V and 9V less 'beefy?' :hmm: Assuming that 'beefiness' (apart from dr...

Re: Need a boring module - cv shifter

I typically use the STG Mixer to do this since it has a +5v wired to one of the mixer inputs, so by combining attenuation on an input plus the offset on another, I can get what I want, but it seems a shame to tie up an entire quality mixer like that just for level+offset duties. Did you take a look...

Re: STG Soundlabs Digital Attenuators V2

Thanks for the kind words and enthusiasm, guys. I am pretty set on this layout though ... part of what I do is being so opinionated about my own products. Muff told me that was one of the things he loved about my work and I take that to heart. Haha, I wholeheartedly agree with Muff. And the first t...

Re: STG Soundlabs Digital Attenuators V2

Looks great, Suit! Yeah, my only gripe with the old one is that it resets to default when you power cycle... (but that's no big deal, really). What else is different? The "Constant" option is gone? And that looks like a two-way switch now. Is the other switch now a three-way with (DC) in the middle ...

From Suit's Instagram four days ago: The STG Soundlabs Oscillator/.VCO is now finished. The first ten retail units are currently available at @schneidersladen and within a month @noisebug. I have been able to also ship individual units to a couple of people but if you are waiting on one be patient, ...

Is there such a module available, or anything with balanced line outs?

I would also like a bit more explanation on the three modes. I think this module shares the underlying design with the WMD Digital VCA, and there is some info about the different modes (albeit with different names, IIRC) on the website and in the (very brief) PDF manual: https://wmdevices.com/produ...
