Hi! Maybe Tom can answer that! I was mostly wondering if it's colorful or more surgical. Does it add character?
More on the surgical side - a clean path.

Re: Playability and build quality of Matrix Mixers -- 4ms Doepfer and Low Gain

Note on the doepfer switches - aren't they switching between unipolar 0 to x1 behaviour and bipolar -1 to +1 (attenuverter)? The alternate panel suggests simple inversion? The uni/bi approach was, I think, suggested by CGS (Ken Stone). Thought maybe I got the idea of the alt panel wrong & you are su...

Re: Solder Removal

I went through about 3 different ones that I didn't really like, tried going back to solder wick which I have always hated, and finally found the "Engineer SS-02 Solder Sucker" on the Thonk site, so I decided to try it out and it has been great so far. Granted, it is a 30 dollar solder pump, so I d...

OK, updated Zip & image..

The breakout board you'd sent me had it connected to 0V - I've just marked it as 'PAD' so we can wait for Neil to chime in on whether it should always be connected & what to..

Cool - will edit.

What are you doing with the pad underneath? Will check the example you sent to see what was done on that.

Cheers!

Re: Updated SSI2130 VCO Datasheet available...

Oops - haven't measured the QFN package I used in Eagle so quite possible I chose the wrong.. (though would there be multiple size versions of QFN32 in a sane world!?) Ah, I did delete the central pad because I'd seen no note of it in the datasheet --- is it connected to anything or just for thermal...

Re: Rotating oscillators patch in BB

Oh, don't start on sequential switches! (I know, I know -- maybe sometime -- even mentioning it gets me thinking...) But, yeah, that's your route, alongside some form of 1V/Oct CV router as described - for the Monopoly route you'd only need a global gate because the setup is paraphonic. Hmm, though ...

Re: Updated SSI2130 VCO Datasheet available...

That sounds about how I was going to do things for the PWM, but good to have someone else jot the ideas down! I'd overlooked the use of Strobe pin to stop the osc - ie use beyond h-sync -- that's a nice little feature that may come in useful! Thinking on the Aux ins - reckon if implementing the mix ...

Here's an eagle library I made based on the QFN layout - not particularly elegant but give it a try.
Not checked in detail yet - please give feedback if you use it.

Re: Updated SSI2130 VCO Datasheet available...

I've been thinking on it & my head was spinning a fair bit...
But then noticed how simple figure 1 on datasheet page 5 is & figure I will go that simple route - ie. big square with pin numbers, though I'll also add labels so you know the pin functions.

Re: Possible to tweak Tri to Sine converter for cem3340 direct tri output ?

That's a very standard circuit & works well - I'd guess it is the biasing of the input wave, yes. As I'd always want a +/-5V triangle wave output in such a design (such a good standard waveform amplitude to base designs around!) I'd suggest using an opamp stage to amplify & centre the signal - I kno...

Strange on the email front ---- webmaster showed me how to check delivery & saw that the email(s) that didn't arrive had certainly appeared to go through fine (ie. accepted by the receiving address). Argh, strangeness - makes me a bit worried!

Yeah, they've had further issues it seems, though hopefully things are generally working.
(I know very little about the tech)

Also slightly unsure whether some email replies are going astray as I just heard from someone who said they'd not had a reply from me when I had replied!

Re: External power supplies: does it make a difference?

You should definitely also be checking your distribution - little point in upgrading the PSU if the distribution is poor.
In particular (as EYG mentions) ensuring you have heavy gauge, especially on the 0V (ground).

Wondering if it can work with clock signals (probably no, but... )?
Yes - DC coupled, though inverted output would become 0 to -10V so possibly of little use?!
