Re: Towards a "standard" convention for Phase CV

It might help if you picture this as being a completely new set of modules, with a different plug/socket for phase IO even, just to clarify that this is meant to allow a different ecosystem within Eurorack (or whatever.) it sounds to me like this approach could work out very well (and be amazing) i...

I'm surprised that not a single person has brought up any Metasonix modules yet. The RK2, 3, and 4 are wonderful for creating distortion and disarray. The R-56 can also distort a signal, be used for reverberation via a spring tank, and can be used as a PreAmp. The R-57 can distort and hard clip any...

Note that the OP states that it’s about finding a solution that doesn’t include a mixer.
:hihi: well alright lisa, "OR logic of the respective gates" it is then... :deadbanana:

:hmm: or perhaps a variable waveshape (or wavetable) oscillator is in order?

Re: 2 oscillators into 1 filter?

But what do you mean by this: " have the filter envelope work for the OR logic of the respective gates of each oscillator " ? Oscs do not have 'respective gates'. And it sounds like you are suggesting to use an env generator as an 'OR logic' - ? Those are two unrelated things. :hmm: maybe the OP me...

i'm always keen to tweak waveshapes on oscillators that have variable waveshape control, and similarly symmetry and offset amount on wavefolders.

Re: turn triggers into gates ?

the ssf propagate (in eurorack format) is one of my favorite modules. it gives you 4 channels of voltage-controlled delay and space (essentially pulse-width) modulation, with each channel output normalized to the input of the next (and you can chain multiple units together as well). otherwise (echoi...
