Re: Has anyone hacked Bishops Miscellay?

You are indeed correct but that SSP joker is costly... I don't need 4 recorders like the RS450 has, just 1 of them. The SSP is in the Buchla range. I would just get a 250e...

Re: Has anyone hacked Bishops Miscellay?

Is something like the Flame Quad CV Recorder what you are looking for? 11E78D3E-C3BF-462A-A1CD-78798CBDA3C1.jpeg No not that either... I'm a little confused how exactly you want it, since I'm not familiar with the keyboard you mentioned. As I understand it, there are two basic ways you can record C...

Re: Koma Electronik Poltergeist being discontinued

I built a quad spatialization processor in the ER-301 based on the essential quad functions of the Buchla 227e. It has six input channels, two that swirl (with adjustable speed and radius), two X-Y channels, and two ambient channels. It's mostly a process of experimentation to figure out what sound...

Re: EMS Synthi waiting list

Hello, everyone, I have not posted on the forum in quite some time. I talked to Robin today and he told me I was number 29 in the VCS3 list. I started at 125. So he has made 96 since I sent him my check. That is quite a lot of handmade units (which obviously includes wood making of course). People ...

Koma Electronik Poltergeist being discontinued

I contacted Koma about when they might be making new ones. I missed the one for sale on modulargrid unfortunately. So they contacted me and said that I could have the last one. It is a shame that quad is not popular in Eurorack like it obviously is in the Buchla world. The 227e is a little more than...

There is an O-coast for sale right now in the for sale section. I am not sure if you are familiar with that versatile instrument or not.

Re: new Synthi inspired machine coming from Erica Synths

Not so noble. Just being up front about their circuitry I guess. We all pick and choose who we think do things the right way. It looks like a solid machine. I also like the overall package of the Macbeth Elements which has some EMS inspiration. It is such a wonderful time to be a synthesis. So many...

Re: Has anyone hacked Bishops Miscellay?

No I don't want it to be a step time type of thing at all. I want it to be a simple recorder of the pressings of my Sputnik keyboard like a KS is with a Synthi AKS. If you have ever used the KS it is in no time signature at all, it is simply the input (or approximate in most cases wit the KS). That ...

Re: new Synthi inspired machine coming from Erica Synths

I just saw this. I have to say two things. When I heard the demo above I assumed it had the Synthi mk1 matrix layout. Unfortunately, that is not the case here. Being a Synthi 'A' mk1 owner I would just have to pass on this one. However, I do think it is a great concept and sounds very good other tha...

Has anyone hacked Bishops Miscellay?

I think the topic describes itself. I would rather just push a button to CV record rather than use a clock. Thoughts?

Re: EMS Synthi waiting list

Robin has an assistant. He runs his own company like he wants to as a gentleman and is happy with. Why should he ramp production up and bring stress and pressure ? It's more a matter of love and passion than a business. I can understand the basic consumer used to speedy industrial mass production a...

Re: Synthi A with external sequencers Vs AKS?

Everyone needs to know that Thomas Lehn is the person who uses the KS best. When I saw Konk Pack on 10/11/13 in Chatanooga Tn he played it like a grand pianist. He tapped the side of the Spartanite case when quite parts were played and all sorts of gestures and such. Anyone on this forum that is eve...

To me all mods are must-have, except the filter 4/5 poles whose effect is mostly just a move of the cutoff point. The filter slew/unslew is great for filter FM and percussive sounds. Osc sync is great, so is the waveshape CV. Buffers may be useful but I don't recommend buffering the whole matrix. h...
