Re: Korg Arp 2600 Arrival Date

C79A3EE5-E728-4252-B668-BC40B56907B3.jpeg I didn't think I would be able to get one, but one shipped into my local small town music store yesterday and no one had reserved it. So, I made a decision to jump on it. I am glad I did. Lovely thing and sounds and plays great. Love the strymon "VOLANTE" E...

Re: Behringer System 55

I’m wondering how this filter would sound in conjunction with the Jürgen Haible living VCOs Here is an example of my system with a Living VCO using the Aion 904A Moog Modular Low Pass Filter clone. I would imagine that the Behringer would sound similar. I don't have a recording with mine. I could d...

Re: Hertz Donut MKII (pic) and samples

Hey Guys! What's a decent price for a USED HD mk2 these days now that the mk3s have been out for a while? Looking to try an HD mk2 after all these years. (I don't see any on the BST at the moment) I owned an HD mk1 many, many years ago, but moved on from it before my "tour of euro". Now I've come b...

Re: Pin Hornet vs. Portabella

In my experience of servicing and playing over 70 units, and as far as I can tell, a new Cornwall and a good working (most are not) MK2 vintage Synthis are very very similar in timbre, sound and performance. I'm not even sure I'd be able to tell the difference in a blind test. Would be interesting ...

Re: Frap Tools USTA

It's funny that everyone seems to want portamento functionality, because one of the main perks of Usta, to me anyway, is the slide feature. I agree. USTA is the first time I've experienced a sequencer that functions the way I want (mostly), and I keep hearing requests for changes to make it more li...

Re: Kraftwerk tour

Looking at the schedule for The Pageant in St. Louis -- which normally has multiple shows per week -- the Kraftwerk show on July 26 is currently the first one that hasn't been cancelled or postponed, or changed to a livestream. I can't imagine things changing with the virus so much in four weeks th...

Re: Pin Hornet vs. Portabella

The Portabella sounds very much like my Synthi 'A'. I have a mk1 so I don't have shape nor feedback inputs into the first two rows of the matrix. At about $7,200 though... I don't think so. I am on the VCS3 list and at about this price and I could sell it right away for much more. I want to buy a Sp...

Re: Jürgen Haible Krautrock phaser BUILD THREAD

After going through the PCB with a magnifying glass, i noticed my BC560 was badly soldered, so replaced that and tidied up other soldering areas and lo and behold the lights are now pulsing and I do have phasing, albeit with different LDR's, the ones i am using are not the correct ones, but they do...

dear Make Noise: I have a shared system and a skiff full of your modules. I can really unders...

Re: Something new from Make Noise coming?

So far: a skeleton on a black background, pushing what looks like a touchpad, which opens a gate with bright white light spilling out. He walks through and the scene turns pink, with him now in black. He walks past... other touchplates? touch sliders? sound level meters? behind him. The music sound...

laurentius: you like the sound of the Verbos complex oscillator but you want it to have more features? Simple! This is a modular format after all. Just buy the Verbos oscillator and other modules with the features you want. Patch them together. Solved. :tu:

Re: Where to start with Serge

In my humble opinion Serge is a format that has many revisits but one start point for most of modules. Been working with CGS, R*S, 73-75 I have to say this. First thing one has to realize, is versatility of a Serge module regardless present manufacturing. Every module has a ''primal'' use but also ...

I may go with the Loudest Warning Flexwave-CGS Panel in a post from this morning. It is very close to my old Animal panel. The LA BESTIA II is better and I would prefer Random Source, however.

Random Source LA BESTIA II Panel & Kit availablity

These seem to be like hen's teeth to obtain. Is it only a group buy? I have been waiting and waiting for the 4U Serge - La Bestia II PCB / Panel Set from modular addict for months. Do I need to just make the panel myself? I could get a local machine shop to make a few I guess and sell the rest here....

Buchla 200e comes to mind. I would like to get another Serge Animal because I sold my old one.

In Eurorack I would like an Analogue Systems As-450 Sequencer.

Re: Trouble finding sealed 1 gang 5k audio potentiometers

What does "phishing" mean in this context? In the past I've only seen that word used to describe misleading email intended to steal passwords. They are trying to get a sucker to pay for a manufacturer's MOQ by misleadingly including parts they don't have in their catalogues. If you wanted that many...
