Re: Kijimi or P5 Rev4, help me to decide
It was a partial joke Abstrakt VS1 Sounds lovely, but nothing to do with what the OP is after. Kijimi uses the SSM 2144 vs the Rev4s 2140, they are similar but not the same. Did have a play with the Kijimi @ SB2019, quite liked it very thick sounding, but I've always wanted a Prophet 5 so for me no ...

Re: Jomox ALPHA BASE
how is the AB looking for 2021, is it stable enough? has the output bleed issue been resolved?
i understand nothing will ever be perfect; have had a sunsyn and even with its quirks, it was still very usable and inspiring.

Re: Banana system pictures
the 216 is from JRB Been a few years since I posted here... many setups have come and gone, but I think I am now at some kind of critical mass where I feel content (well, there are a few holes to fill in the Buchla, but that will be taken care of). Serge side is a 73-75, Audio Interface/Creature, TH...

i have a very efficient setup and if I want or 'need' something, i sell something. I really dont want a money pit and it hard to justify any of it as investments, even if it is being used. the current state of fetishizing gear is kind of mindblowing but then again, i am probably out of touch. someon...

Kit is where it is at.
There's no way I would pay $2k+ for a sequencer... sure it is a bit more than that in terms of functionality but I am sure most can understand.

Re: Fender Jazzmaster - Avice for first time buyer
i will give it a shot. a friend recently offered a mastery for free so if it is more than just for buzz elimination it may be worth trying... but then again, it might not be a JM anymore? my 63 JM ran into my blackface vibrolux sounds great as-is in all its chimey glory, that is without pedals. :sb:...

Re: Fender Jazzmaster - Avice for first time buyer
lots of people talk about the trem systems rattling/buzzing but both my original 63-64 jazzmasters as well as my many jags i have had in the past never buzzed or rattled. i did have an original 62 jaguar that had a gibson styled bridge installed before i got it so i assume it had some issues but the...

H.N.A.S. (Hirsche Nicht Aufs Sofa) - recommendations?
For years, I have been a big fan of mirror related projects and wondering what would be a good starting point with their output. It seems most would gravitate towards Melchior due to NWW but anything less obvious?

which version do you have?
Nightly Closures wrote: ↑Sat Aug 15, 2020 12:39 pmMaybe get a cheap rat and switch out the chip yourself. I’ve had mine for 20 years. Before that, I had “borrowed” one for 5 years. I love that pedal. I snagged the life pedal and enjoy this version even more than the original.

Eno TC-13 Myomorpha vs RAT?
I am looking for an old rat and the prices are ridiculous. Has any tried the Eno TC-13 Myomorpha and if so, what are your thoughts?

Re: Synton Fenix I and II
i prefer the 1 and have owned both. I have a hard time owning $7,500 synths and with that said, I would do it again. the 1 'seems' like it has less but it makes you use what you have in different ways, part of the reason why i prefer fixed modulars. less is more. boring is a silly descriptor and lik...
