The long wait is finally coming to end. The two systems we ordered on February 28th, 2019 are ready to ship. This is a nice shot of them getting burned in his studio:

Re: Hello Hordijk System

after a few days, finally made a little patch worth sharing (imho). not much, just me fartin' around taking the twin peak filter through its paces with the help of the rungler....running the filter out through the shaper at the end for a little extra pizzazz :guinness: really like this, thanks for ...

Re: Hello Hordijk System

Cheers all, didn’t realise the other normallings from the follower. I didn’t think I documented the patch but I kind of did...see below. It seems quite easy to create rich, complex patches on the Hordijk with relatively few cables. A5A6C2BB-D685-4B9F-8871-F58FC513844E.jpg 29C7206C-ABAB-4740-96AE-472...

Re: Hello Hordijk System

Hey everyone, I got my system last year, picked it up in person. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone here for this thread, which was inspiring to me as I waited. One of my favourite things to do is play with the delay in the freq shifter's insert point. Will take a long time for me to get bored of...

Great thread, I was looking for a better solution than manually cutting up and populating drum racks in Ableton.

EDIT: Honourable mention to Mr Darwin Grosse for this DIY option:

Nope, G2 only. Might work with the free demo though.

Any particular recommendation on good digi filters for pinging with impulses for percussion?

I'm guessing the Blocks and Rack ones must be OK, but I've never had much luck with VSTs. About the demo The Drop for just this purpose.

Dear Peter, just a note to say thanks for your contributions, I’m one of those people who bought and read your books, and your Max tutorials have been super useful.

Chalk up another buyer for your notes here.

Heh, yeah noticed that one, but thanks for the useful context. Crazy how these things are related, one of the pleasures of alternative systems like Serge.

I can finally articulate what I was on about with the "smearing" - on my unit the trigger doesn't retrigger the envelope if the envelope ends after the trigger comes in. This is different from my Doepfer A-140, and might trip up people who want to use the DUSG as a typical envelope generator. Maybe ...

Quick update: finally grokked the relationship between the Expo switches for rise and fall, and what looks like the CV attenuverter for rise and fall. The CV attenuverter actively changes the kind of curve you can achieve even when no CV is patched. Not exactly clear on the difference between the tw...

There is also this resource on Carbon 111 that will give you some tips and point you to still more Serge resources: http://www.carbon111.com/alphabet1.html Doug Lynner has done a few videos on Serge modules like positive slew and DTG that share similar functionality to the DSG so some of those patc...

Makes sense, thanks!

Any other tips for the DSG? The available docs are a bit sparse.

EDIT: Re-reading http://www.serge-fans.com/wiz_cv_trig.htm has the exp feedback trick. Will go over this stuff again.

DSG envelopes and stuff (R*S Euro DUSG Mk2)

Hey folks :) I've got a lovely 6U of R*S Serge, considering swapping out TWS+ for the Equal Power mixer but that's another story... Coming from Maths and more trad ADSRs etc. I'm finding the envelopes on the R*S DUSG Mk2 a little...different. I'm finding it tricky to get punchy envelopes with a nice...

Just want to say....Beeeautiful! I'm on the list, but missed out on the Synthi due to the lack of suitcases. Had to 'settle' for a VCS. If it arrives (Godspeed Robin!) perhaps a short-term swap could be arranged with a nearby wiggler. I've ordered every mod going, barring Prestopatch. Maybe I'll reg...

Just about to get a headset, which model do you use?

I understand that Sennheiser also work, might be a good option.

Surely any class-compliant headset would work? I know the Paca is USB 1.1 only right?

Cheers
