Re:

Mine doesn't as I bought it second hand and the MIDI IN Jack is intermittent. Probably a cold solder joint at the PCB. I know it responds to midi cc, it is in the manual. And in the printed manual it has a big X on both receive and transmit. TLDR: No Does it respond to MIDI Program Change? Some of t...

Re: 8bit Cipher Eurorack version

Looking at schematic, it looks like you can use the STROBE INPUT as a Clock Inhibit/Play as Well. Taking the CLOCK TRANSPORT from Mutant Brain/CV OCD. When the transport is not running you will get a Low Logic Gate out of Mutant Brain and when you hit play on your MIDI clock device, it will go high,...

I read the opposite on YT from a channel called Procknosis.
The page owner said that yannis was not interested in another poly.
But again this is all third party.

Re: I love Vermona

Nice setup! I use my Vermona '14 as controller and it goes to two other synths a)via a transpose down an octave then to a midi router to create an 8 voice Abyss (all notes below middle c go to Abyss A and all notes at or above middle C go to Abyss B b) a Vermona perFOURmer which runs in parallel wit...

Re: Any justification for waldorf blofeld in this day and age?

the attack is linear by nature. And there are parameters to set this non-linear. All you do is apply recursive modulation to the attack to change the shape. Env3 +48 Env Attack Time Ok, so regarding the wave scan: short answer is yes, the audible difference isn't mostly noticeable in +/- 32 pwm dept...

Anyone else find the bandpass filter to alias quite badly, especially if you have two in series?

Re: Any justification for waldorf blofeld in this day and age?

The LFOs all have phase parameters, depending on the shape, at zero degrees start phase it starts at either the lowest part or highest part of the waveform. Set LFO slow and set to pitch, and your ears will tell you about the LFO shape. Once you know the relationship of phase to startposition you ca...

You start the WavePosition at 64 and set the amount + or - 56.

Re: Behringer K-20 eurofied MS-20

I had zero success taking in V/octaves into the Text or Frequency input to get the oscillators to track.
Much better success with oscillators muted and controlling the self-oscilating HP filter.
**Tested on MS-20Kit, no idea if the tracking is the same on a K-2**

Re: Dreadbox Abyss polyphonic synth

I'm in Sarnia, and when I got my two, I was hoping to create an 8 voice with midigal. Turned out that no 2 Abyss are the same, and even at (close as possible) accurate settings, the basic tones of each were too different for this (expensive) experiment to work. However, by turning the two into dual ...

Wish I could help! I grabbed my two in May and November of 2018 from Detroit and Montreal, and even then it was just s**t luck. I rarely have seen them advertised on kijiji here in Canada. Re: Dreadbox Abyss polyphonic synth

Under the hood, the Global Fc CV must send a voltage to all 4 Fc CV ins to the 4 filters. It would be nice to reverse engineer, and add 4 separate CV Ins to the filters. Way above my pay grade, but something to consider.

Re: Volca Modular - I got one (review / compare with Easel).

I retired mine for 2 reasons a) the Dupont connections get loose after time and will cut in/out in music use. b) By the time you convert from Dupont to 1/8" for external connections you end up with spaghetti junction. I did like the Woggle for external gear: ie run the Woggle to an MS-20xx I experim...

Re: Volca Modular - I got one (review / compare with Easel).

On the webpage with the new oS, there is a PDF on how to set C4,C5 for pitch to CV. Works well... How to Calibrate the CV Input You can calibrate the CV input on the volca modular, so that the pitch is correct when playing a synthesizer or other device with a keyboard that can output CV/gate signals...
