Re: Why 1000pF as opposed to 1nF?
Over the years I've noticed a preference west of the Atlantic to express capacitance only in uF and pF - nF doesn't often get a mention. I would use nF where it's appropriate, i.e. to avoid lots of zeroes one side or the other of a decimal point. In the end, they're the same and imply nothing.

Re: BOSS BF 1 FLANGER UK POWER SUPPLY ?
You need an ACA-240 adapter (if you can find one). https://images.reverb.com/image/upload/s--twK_vbi6--/f_auto,t_supersize/v1606427537/ydykayipndo2xhehv2fy.jpg It's an unregulated PSU and puts out more than 9V when not loaded. The regulation will be done inside the pedal. This is what our own Synthb...

Re: Build Log for Weston PRO2021
I don't know enough about PSUs to understand why the negative regs need a shim, but the positives don't. Can anyone enlighten me? It's not really a shim, it's an insulator (I think that's probably what you meant). The tab on the positive regulators is ground. The tab on the negative regulators is t...

1) 0.25W (1W will likely be too big to fit physically - electrically it makes no difference) 2) I built mine with whatever I had to hand. I don't believe it makes any difference for this application. 3) any size, standard current (else use a low current and much bigger CLR) 4) the maximum any cap co...

I have a Joranalogue Test 3 and an FC Power board in a standalone box. It gives me enough of a warm, fuzzy feeling that nothing will die when I transfer my build to a case.

It's definitely a mono jack. A stereo jack would have three lugs (tip, ring, sleeve).

It's as simple as wiring the outs to the ins of each circuit.gods-and-ghost-light wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 10:37 amI assume it can't be as simple as wiring the outs to the ins of each circuit.

The individual circuits don't know they're in one box or several. Indeed, the individual circuits don't know they're individual!

I recently got a pair of the Sony WH-CH700N wireless headphones. I'm very pleased with them, and I wouldn't say they're bass-heavy. Worth an audition?
