measure that right at the output of the buffer amp. So I figured it out. Ableton's built in tuner goes whacky around the 3-5k range, I tried another vst tuner, same thing. A friend of mine suggested using my multimeter for hz measurements and I managed to tune it perfectly. Thanks again to all who ...

Yes that would be great - tbh a google doc for the details/exceptions/variants and google sheets for BoMs I think would be ideal.

yeah, it sounds like it should be fine. do the 1V/oct tuning first with the scale trimmer down in the 100-200Hz range, then set the freq trim where you want it, and then do the linearity trim last to get the upper octaves on track.
