Re: Speed/decay-tail of VTL5C3/2 (particularly Xvive)

Bumping this thread... just built a 292c from a complete kit that came with Xvive vactrols. There's barely any decay. Compared to my other 292, they really don't ring at all. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I'm certain it's different and initially not in a pleasing way. Does...

Re: Behringer 2600

Might want to buy the rectangular replacement orange LEDS now. Probably gonna be a run on them shortly. ;) Of course being so close to halloween they might already be in short supply! Since a lot of TTSH have orange and might look better with color, near perfect swap-exchanges could be made between...

Re: Sequentix Cirklon

Given how much awesome stuff can be done with the A and B knob, I find the lack of external MIDI control of Knob values and Track Values to be the biggest thing I miss with the Cirklon. It would open up so many avenues of performance possibilities. I literally never use A B knobs. Partly because I’...

Re: Sequentix Cirklon

One being I really like the step repeat functions for rhythmic sequencing.. Hey Sinamsis, can you elaborate a bit please? Is it like the retrigger on the Elektrons where you can set the division value? Never stumbled across this function, sounds interesting, especially if you can modulate the divis...

Re: The Moog One

Well after another year or more of watching videos about this thing, I have to say I'm still sold, or would be if I had the cash. I don't know if anyone in these 39 pages has mentioned that the mod matrix includes mathematical functions between the sources and destinations, which is extremely cool....

Re: Sequentix Cirklon

Personally I love the Elektron workflow, for what it is, but moved to the Cirklon for several reasons. One being I really like the step repeat functions for rhythmic sequencing, but hated that the Elektrons could not transmit it over MIDI. Having a need for the connectivity as well, and wanting to e...

Re: FIVE12 Eurorack Vector Sequencer

Not something I’d ever use, myself. But it would be one more selection out of a small handful of choices for the sub sequencer destination- I don’t think that’s going to ruin anyone’s user experience. It’s not an outlandish request or anything, why NOT save an LFO and an extra cable if you can? I d...

Nevertheless, this is a modular synthesizer forum. I thought you might have some MIDI-related trickery in mind, since Vector stra...

Re: Sequentix Cirklon

I'll be honest, I got mine probably close to two years ago, and paid a few hundred over retail. I don't regret it, because I have used the shit out of it and ultimately it was my end goal. I didn't want to pay for and then flip intermediate units to get where I wanted to be. I had very specific goal...

I can walk you through it if need be. I wasted days trying with other hardware.
I can only imagine man... kind of a bummer they don't offer these pre flashed. I enjoy the assembly, but when it comes to computer stuff I really don't want to be bothered. I'm dreading this for sure.

Just went through this mess w/ my 204r. If you're on a Mac then AVRFuses and an Olimex programmer work just fine. Oh, and a breadboard helps.

Thanks! I’ll look into those.

For all you guys who have built a 227r v2, does anyone have any info on flashing the microcontroller (ATTINY84A)? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much!

Re: ACL Sinfonion

The Cirklon, honestly, isn't ideal for sequencing chords IMO. I just use Aux Note. But I also record chord progressions in Keystep and just pass that through the Cirklon. I'm not a stickler for tuning. I never used to be, but I'm getting more into it now. Ah yeah, aux notes. I haven't used those in...

I absolutely adore the Sinfonion, and can fanboy about it all day long, but just to ask in fairness to other options: What do you have for quantizers right now? (Also, any arpeggiators and...

WMD actually makes a device to slowly power those modules on after everything else powers up to prevent that.
I got one of these and it appears to have fixed my HD3 startup problems. Thanks again for the tip!

I'm newish to bananas. I started building the RS Serge 4x4s at the beginning of the pandemic when I found myself with a lot of free time (a couple modules have been pulled from the case for trouble shooting). Not pissing on anyone's chips and I think this thing is feaking great but ... a few things are niggling me. First, if I were crossgrading from a Prophet-6 or OB-6 (as lots of people seem to be suggesting they might across the internets) I'd really really miss the arpeggiator and sequencer. Second, ...
