Re: Roland System-500 512 VCO Tuning and Scaling Instructions

I could not find official instructions, but it was straightforward enough to figure out. I wrote up instructions for others to follow: 512 tuning instructions I used the tuner built into Ableton Live that shows very precise measurements, but you can use a chromatic tuner with a just high/low indica...

I bet some of those could eventually mess up with an external clock and especially the reset signal, especially with just 4ppqn resolution, for example.
It was a response directly to this statement, perhaps I misunderstood.

Re: WMD Metron sequencer

Maybe I am crazy but is there no start/stop button on this? Get a Pams or Frequency Central Chronograf . I would recommend to keep Metron as a master clock and use the workaround with "Tempo+Encoder" described above. I've been using it since day 1 without any problems. Metron offers so many advance...

Re: Fixed Filter Banks - Long-term use, same-y results?

I have owned a Fumana for almost a couple years now. I don’t use it nearly enough (partly because I had it in a separate case for quite a while), but every time I do I’m blown away. Even looking at the PCB is mind-blowing. It’s a beautiful instrument and it oozes quality in terms of feel and build. ...

Re: FIVE12 Eurorack Vector Sequencer Teaser

It's been a rough morning with my Five12. I was moving some modules around to accomodate a new F8R and I found myself with a room for a Doepfer sequential switch. Not being able to determine how power connects to the Doepfer, I foolishly assumed it was either way like the F8R. I connected it and wh...

Re: Xaoc Odessa, 1975 Variable Spectrum Harmonic Cluster VCO

Spent a little more time with Odessa (seems like I have plenty of that these days haha). I explored some ambient swells using Zadar for complex envelopes, Tallin, Sinfonion's chord output into Hel, and then a RML EFC, Magneto and Erbe Verb at the end of the chain, all processed through Analog Heat (...

Re: Piston Honda MKII

So, for people that have "upgraded" their mk2 Honda to a mk3 - was it worth it? I'm pondering doing so, but the Norwegian currency is currently plummeting, so it's looking increasingly more expensive to do so. My only regret is replacing my mk I with a mk II. Meaning, I wish I had kept both!!...

Re: Rossum Electro-Music Assimil8or

The new update is great. I got some single cycle waveforms going and synthesized some great PM'd drum sounds. I tried chopping and exploding a drum loop but couldn't really get anywhere with it. Anyone having luck with this and have tips? In the end I'm not certain this is something I'll spend much ...

Re: Kermit mk III - coming soon

Jesus that orange AF  The orange case is my pride and joy. I built it with a buddy, initially it was meant as a 9U with a lid. But my system grew and so did the case. Ha, it actually is stained with my blood (I chose a screw that was slightly too long and stabbed myself). Anyways, I love this ...

Re: HERTZ DONUT MARK III - shipping now!

Indeed. The Cyclebox is not a dual or complex oscillator, but it makes very silly noises indeed. :fap: Piston Honda mk III > Cyclebox II And I'm a huge Cyclebox fan. Haha wow. Yeah it’s apples and oranges. I regret selling my Cyclebox from time to time but I found the switches annoying. I could nev...

Re: Xaoc Odessa, 1975 Variable Spectrum Harmonic Cluster VCO

I would love a utopia where nothing ever seemed the least bit annoying but reality is XAOC as a great company knows this and is cracking up about it - they will when they see fit make an update if and when they want to - no issues with that at all. but who knows we just may brow beat them into it b...

Re: Rossum Electro-Music Assimil8or

By "playing" I am mean having immediate access to different parameters in the A8 like pitch, bit reduction, loop endpoints...at different channels. As a sequncer I use ER 101/102, the Voltage Block serves just as a 8 channel cv faderbox. I am looking to an alternative for that. Can I use the Volter...

I recently ran everything in my studio into 2 very big patchbays (96 each). I have a lot of shit haha. My first patchbay was a Switchcraft, the second was a Redco. I was hesitant to try the Redco at first, but I would say it sounds fine and is half the price. I really like having the TT patchbay wit...

I finally did a deep dive on the Metron and it really blew my mind. Ha, I think it was Behndy's second one that we traded for. Anyways it's awesome. Am I correct that you can't do independent step lengths per track, and no clock divisions per track either? Bit of a bummer if so, but not the end of t...
