Re: New MakeNoise module: Mimeophon

this is not a thread about Mimeophon's "noise problems", this is a thread that is supposed to be how we all discover new ways to use this awesome module this is not a place to trash whatever we can dig deep and find wrong with it. just like people all the modules are different, their power sources a...

Who's given their wooden buddies a fresh rub down with some of that Hope's Tung Oil??

Just wondering if anyone here has rejuvenated their little wooden friends with a nice rub down?? Im scared - I dont want to ruin them in any way but I also want to take care of them and I think they could use a little bit in some spots missed by peter when he made them. SO yeah if anyone could share...

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS

thats the funny part about it though, how can we discern a good noise burst from a bad one with this thing? It’s pretty easy when you had one working with “no noise” for the better part of a year. I almost always used Coco for “lush” stereo pad type textures that were full of depth! Now, it’s nearl...

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS

thanks for confirming that when the lights are off then they are recording on the noise "issue", i thought the noise was just sort of a lofi / 8bit / type hiss, mild distortion if you will. are people upset because some coco owners have totally clean sounding instruments on both sides, some have one...

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS

I hate to sound like a dick but it’s honestly not THAT unpredictable, it just needs a ton of gain. It only seems unpredictable because you’re feeding it different things. The minimoog and easel probably sound good because they output hot signals. If you use the preamp on the left it’ll help boost t...

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

Got mine! Was unexpected with the COVID delays, had no idea it was coming this week, though it'd be another month. I put together a really quick first impressions video. My first buchla so took a few mins to figure out a patch to make sound, skip to 4:20 if you're not interested in the overview par...

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

ahhh darn, i forgot about that new version of MIDI, i guess it would be better to just have the expander on the Command Easel just in case then if the Command Easel is connected to live via the USB hub and theyre communicating there - and then you have the Roli connected to the Easel via the Expande...

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

That Loopop video is perfect for breaking this down. The keyword to pay attention to is when a device needs a MIDI "Host". If typically you would be required to plug your midi controller into a computer to work (Sensel, Roli, launchpad) then those are looking for a "Host". 99.99% of synths don't gi...

I have a guy that makes these awesome custom and pretty durable banana cables if you’re interested

I got a banana -> 1/4” and a banana -> 3.5 from him to patch between modular and my cocoquantus

Did you get the MIDI USB expansion option on your command?
