Kinda late to the party, but can someone please recommend me a specific clouds clone? There seem to be a dozen different kinds of uburst etc and I'm afraid I'll get one that's poorly built or just get ripped off. thanks! Zzardoz on here (cal synth on reverb) has a great rep and warranties his work ...

Re: Pitch on CV vs MIDI

Hey wigglers, Got my 0-coast yesterday and spent around 8 hours straight playing with it, I'm totally addicted already. I've seen this question asked many times but with no definitive answer it seems. When I use the midi out on my arturia keystep into the midi in on the 0-coast the middle C sounds ...

I’ve really enjoyed your stuff for a while. I’m real happy that I randomly clicked through here and found this. A few tracks in and it’s very beautiful and satisfying. :omg:

Re: Old forgotten eurorack gems

Still might pick up a used Anti Osc some day... do it! I was missed my old gargoyle version and was able to pick up a richter version on eBay for stupid cheap and I love it so much. There’s some real magic there to my ears, the mayhem out through a well tuned lpg can really nail a lot of rich acous...

Thanks for the reply! I revisited it last night feeling a bit less exhausted and was able to trim it to track well over a pretty wide range.

They would be pretty primitive drum voices so more like kick-ish and snare-ish. If you look up some videos or articles on synthesizing drum sounds from basic functions you’ll get a better idea. With what you have you could make more sophisticated drum sounds, but it would use up a large chunk of you...

I think you have more voices on hand than you may think. With some clever patching you could definitely get some lead/bass and a few percussive/textural voices going on. a few thoughts: -you have five lpgs/VCAs so you could in theory have five voices in a patch -the envelope functions on the maths w...

Very OG piston Honda v/o tracking?

I have one of the very early Piston Honda mk1s, with the misdrilled holes and the pitch offset if you turn certain knobs too far or apply too much voltage. I don’t remember it tracking 1v/oct quite so poorly, but I also don’t remember the last time I put it through a tuner. Right now I’m getting lik...

Well I’m more confused than ever... -tried the output module in a different case/psu with the same results. -pulled out my old Mackie mixer to run balanced outputs to the interface and thought it was broken because all I was getting was clicks... -tried to go directly from the output module again in...

Also, I guess I had been using the same adapter and cables from the stereo line/headphone out of the 0-coast with no problems. :bang:

oops, may not have been very clear there! So the module had a 3.5mm stereo out, which into a splitter then 2 stack cables, each into a 3.5 to 1/4” TS adapter then into the interface. It could be the adapter though, I’m not sure where it came from, so maybe it’s actually splitting the stereo input in...

What kind of cable is going from the module to the interface? Its probably a cable issue, the jacks on the interface are probably TRS and somethings not connecting correctly. Maybe. just TS cables. The output module is one of the tiny ones so it only has 3.5mm stereo out. However, when I ran it thr...

Thought it was an output issue, maybe a power issue?

[edit] I’m now thinking it’s not an issue with the output module, but maybe a power issue or another module causing intermittent issues? I have a strange issue here... I have a headphone/ouput module that behaves fine with every piece of gear I have, however, when trying to use it with either one of...

Two things: a successful artist like Cortini needs to be very careful with what he says lest he comes across as petty. Second, linking gear, especially in this type of genre, to results, is too strongly implied. I’m curious if the linking of gear to results you’re referencing is in relation to what...

This is a weird thread, I honestly don’t see why anything he said should lead to some of these responses. He expressed his opinion that some of the modules that are popular right now offer a high level of instant gratification, hence the microwave dinner comment, and that his preference is for a dif...

The pads do look a lot like the ones one the newer Akai stuff... Very curious about this, but also very skeptical about the details. For me the magic of the sp-12/1200 has always been in the aliasing and artifacts it generates when pitching down sped up samples, which also relates to the limited mem...

A precision adder will get you a lot more mileage out of those two SQ1s. +1 I wound up with an ALM beasts chalkboard to go with my sq-1, so useful. As for what modules to expand/compliment the 0-coast it really depends on what you’d like to do. You could add another voice, modulation options, seque...
