Re: DR-55 Clone - Circuitbenders.uk CB55

Even though I built the trig conditioner part I also get flamming. I have to set the gates on my BSP to almost their lowest setting. I keep meaning to check the conditioner circuit but haven't gotten round to it.

Re: 3 Fried Modules - Seeking Repairs

The Doepfer ones are probably easily repairable given they are through-hole. Not sure about the other one.

Seconded on the Cynare (I built the Elby version). It's a lot of HP but sounds great. The SDSV+ from Timo Rozendal is also pretty great.

Re: CGS60 Stomp Box Adapter / Pedal Interface

There are a few non-DIY options for integrating pedals such as https://www.modulargrid.net/e/alm-busy- ... m006-s-b-g and https://www.modulargrid.net/e/strymon-aa-1

There are also DIY/kit options too such as https://www.modulargrid.net/e/st-modular-pedalpal

Looks amazing! Do you have any idea of approximately how much $ the kit will be at this point?

Hemispheres firmware for Ornaments & Crime has a CV recorder so you might be able to build on that.

If you can, add a socket for the transistor and try a bunch of different ones of the same type till you find one that is loud enough.

Just a quick note in case it helps others: I added a bypass toggle switch to mine (I have a Roland RS-101 permanently patched into it) and there was a large difference in volume between the bypassed and effected signal. After some experimenting I replaced the feedback resistor on the final op-amp st...

I had issues with a couple of ST builds - again no schems. I posted on the FB group to silence (although I think he may be having family issues).

Anyway that was the last time I order any PCBs without schems - just not worth the hassle.

I thought Frequency Centrals old 'mirrored logo' and the corner of the circuit board being cut to an angle was a nice touch for their DIY versions but they seem to have abandoned that. I can imagine it adding a bit of cost in a smallish operation.

If the default was set to 'in stock' being ticked rather than having to manually filter stuff that would be a nice improvement but it's not the more onerous thing to have to do it myself - just seems a bit counter-intuitive. But if the site is being rebuilt then hopefully that kind of thing will be ...

...as the price for a proper one from FPE to Australia was eye-watering. Ah, that's interesting. It's pretty cheap here in the UK with panels delivered from Germany. I think it was about 30Euros. Maybe it's time I got some panels made and sold those with the boards. It worked out to be ~$100AUD to ...

A colleague did the panel in faux-aluminium acrylic as the price for a proper one from FPE to Australia...

While i'm anxiously waiting on a few parts to finish this off I wanted to mention a couple of things: 1. Goddamn this is a lovely PCB to work on. Generous pads, clearly labelled. I normally do SMD somewhat begrudgingly but this is a pleasure. 2. Would it be possible to get some sketches of how to re...

I've never had any issues with it and find it the easiest to use out of the main synth DIY oriented sites. Like any site i'm sure improvements can be made. Their discount international shipping rate helps sooth any minor issues I may have though

I ended up building the gate to trigger circuit from the 5U schematics (you can find them in this thread) to fix the finicky triggering on the bass drum.

I routed the input jacks to the daughter board then moved the gate input resistors to the outputs of the trigger circuit.
