Re: Sound quality degradation

Two more ideas:
- a fully wet BBD delay with feedback turned off. Erica Synths Fusion Delay is great, but kind of overkill for this purpose.
- good old Clouds 100% wet on lowest quality setting.

Tanh and Spectral Devastator are both brilliant, still.

Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper

Here's a follow up to my previous investigation... After a bit of head scratching I've managed to get it all working. I am now able to record perfect loops which are in sync with each other. What's changed: - Pamela's New Workout set to PPQN: 04 - PNW set to output a gate at x1 (instead of x16) - Ne...

Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper

Bitbox mk1, latest firmware here. Having some trouble trying to figure out how to record loops in sync with a clock from Pamela's New Workout. My recordings don't loop beautifully like in the video demo. They aren't cut to the right length (say, 2 bars). Here's how I have it set up: - PNW is sending...

Wet/dry mix is analog.
Many thanks for your prompt reply. Very, very cool. I'm in!

I can't find the answer, perhaps you have this information?

Is Dry/Wet analog? That is, when fully Dry, is the signal going through the DSP chip, or completely unaffected?
Thank you!

Re: Seeking guidance: first Doepfer-based rack

You seem to have picked some really nice modules and a Buchla/Serge inspired Doepfer system is a very wise decision. I used to have an 18U all-Doepfer system, what a joy to play. Even with two rows it can be much more inspiring than a ready-made complex oscillator/lpg/function generator system from ...

Couldn't resist getting a 'smiley face' yellow version. This stubborn, raw 303 sound is spot on. What a terrible sounding little acid machine you are, I thought. You're no good for much else...

And then it sang... :loves:

Here's my live case. Three oscillators, five low pass gates / filters, two tubes, a noise source, a phaser and a BBD delay / flanger. 100% analog signal path.

For something a little bit different... Verbos Harmonic Oscillator is my rock'n'roll band! Last week I played a gig based pretty much around a single Verbos Harmonic Oscillator. The only additional source is Verbos Complex Oscillator providing that pseudo-clap. This is a live recording of a song fro...

I vote Doepfer. Love love love that unified grayscale industrial look.

Yes, I've got Verbos, Make Noise, Erica Synths and many other cool brands too, but an all-Doepfer system is still my favourite when it comes to aesthetics.

For fat sounds you should try combining both outputs. I've read somewhere that the sub is detuned by a few cents to give it a thicker character. Very powerful, very clever design. And no menus! I'm not sure if switching CV destination by long pressing the bank switch button and then pressing to swi...

For me Erica Synths Black Wavetable VCO is the most ergonomic wavetable VCO. It may not have too many options, menus, but that is its strongest point. It invites experimentation and has a very straightforward interface. I disagree that it has too few modulation options. 3 CV ins give plenty of optio...
