Some observations after playing with the Odessa for an hour: - New partials do not fade in gradually as the partials knob/CV increases, they are introduced in a staircase pattern. (To modify brightness smoothly, use Spectral Tilt or a filter) - Gate into partials: Opening has quick response, while c...

Crossfading between two waveforms (mixing them together) is not the same as morphing between them. Example: If you mix a square wave and sawtooth wave, you very often end up with something sounding like a sawtooth wave played one octave higher, especially if the zero crossing of the square wave happ...

The Rossum Electro-Music Control Forge will do the things you desire, including long-lasting quantized time for each envelope stage as well as reversing direction on an incoming trigger. However, the Control Forge's long list of features also makes it a complicated module that works best if you don'...

For a 12 band vocoder, you'll need a minimum of 15 cables. Example: - 12 cables going from the followers output of each band on the modulator module, into the corresponding level input of each band on the carrier module (all faders set to minimum) - One cable with audio (such as speech or a drum loo...

With the name BLIP and LED feedback being the only available info we have on the expander at the moment, my first thought is that the name implies that the expander has trigger/gate outs for various stages of each envelope. Or something along those lines. Blips on the radar. Clever name scheme. Can'...

My general advice would be: Whenever you see the need for patching into an attenuator: Patch into a VCA with manual gain control instead. That way, voltage control of that attenuation is just a single cable away. This makes it much easier to expand your patches. In other words, attenuators are nice ...

Nice set of features! It's like a mixture of two J3rk Xfaders and a ring mod like Befaco A*B+C. It should be able do panning as well, by setting the CV offsets and invert the CV using the attenuverter on channel 2. But from what I can tell, there is no normal between input A1 -> A2 and CV1 -> CV2? S...

You can add the following: - ADDAC203 CV Mapping - Befaco A*B+C - Befaco Dual Attenuverter - EMW Dual DC Shifter - Eowave Pôles - Erogenous Tones LEVIT8 - Ladik M-120 (not U-010 or U-011 because they only shift 0-2V and not +/-5V) - Sputnik Modular CV Processor (I'm not sure if it also does negative...

Using Three Sisters as a non-resonant crossover filter
I want to be able to use Three Sisters as a regular crossover filter (where unity gain in all channels = all-pass), but no matter what Quality setting I use, the filter always sounds resonant. Is it possible to DIY mod my Three Sisters with something like a resistor and a switch in the feedback path...

The resonance in series will likely sound a little weird due to phase cancellations and small differences, unless the filters are _completely_ identical as far as what's electrically measurable. A much safer bet is to only have resonance on one of the filters, and let the other filter have no resona...

SamUK , while most of the points in your proposed setup are okay, I'm concerned that your Timefactor may not handle a 5Vpp signal without clipping. So before anything, you should at least verify that the Timefactor has the headroom to deal with such signal levels. If it turns out that a 5Vpp signal...
