Re: Four records that changed your life.

Oxygene - JMJ Let there be Rock - AC/DC I still love both records... this are true milestones for me! Ok, let me explain why this two records impressed me so much and ‚changed‘ my life... In the seventies I played Guitars in rock bands. Oxygene was the first time in my life I realised how Synthesiz...

Re: Krell

not your every day krell patch. but i think it qualifies. i tried to path the ambiance from the Star Trek USS Enterprise Bridge. With all the carefully tuned random and probability and space vs activity in this patch i think it belongs in this thread. https://soundcloud.com/brandon-logic/modular-sk...

Wow, what a nice product! :yay: It’s also out of my price range for a vocoder, but I‘m shure it worths every $. A good product has it‘s price tag. No worry about that. I‘m just pleased that Moog presents such a outstanding product. :yay:

Re: UpDate Re: Interested in a reprint of Allen Strange's Electronic Music?

Just an update... looks like we'll be doing a small run of hard cover, and then lay-flat or cherlox or spiral binding, and there will be a PDF option. I'm thinking of doing a kickstarter just so we know who wants hard cover. The price will be very much less than I thought, with a respectable royalt...

Re: Xaoc Odessa, 1975 Variable Spectrum Harmonic Cluster VCO

Xaoc have said more than a few times in the thread already that there's no possibility for firmware updates, so Odessa is in its final form. Actually, re-programming Odessa is not impossible. Please understand however that developing with FPGA is much much harder than with a popular STM32 line of m...

Re: Making a "sequencer" with a clock divider and mixer

Hi! As I don't have a sequencer yet, I have tried to get something of the same effect from the modules I have. I found a solution that turns out to be pretty versatile, so I thought I'd share it! What you'll need is a clock divider with gate outputs (like a plain binary counter) and a mixer. Simply...

Re: Xaoc Odessa, 1975 Variable Spectrum Harmonic Cluster VCO

Hello. Does the Odessa module have a characteristic sound? Yes. Is it a one-trick pony? No. The question of cost and size, I don't really understand. I suppose one could fill a row of their rack with several Plaits and consider that a good deal in those terms. To my taste that would be neither tech...

Re: Tasty Chips ECR-1 Convolution Reverb

There is a major difference between crammed (like a lot of the micro mutable modules) and a well designed, feature rich module that has space to move, yet small enough. With speculation (without seeing the PCB), going for a 2 stack PCB, controls on one, components on the other and condensing the si...

I returned my faulty module back to the supplier. The module was not built as specified and this is not acceptable. I payed for a proper module, and I will have nothing else. I hope Intellijel accepts as well.
