Interesting. I'm not sure I understand the way the Matrix Mixer works. So, could I send the two synths into In 1 and 2, send A dry into the mixer, B and C out to the effects, effects into mixer, then use the attenuators to control how much signal goes into each path?

FX Loop

I am looking for a way to do something that seems like it should be simple, but I'm having trouble thinking of how to do it. I want to put together a pod that has two effects and a Befaco STMix. I will be feeding it two external synths. I want to control which synth goes into the effects and which s...

Cool, sounds great! I can see the 0-Coast is using the Slope to mod the FM. Can't quite tell what else is going on. Patch notes?

Microvolt Patching Tips

I have a Pittsburgh Microvolt and an 0-Coast, and I enjoy them both. I'm looking for some more advanced patching techniques on the Microvolt (potentially using the 0-Coast too). 1. Is it possible to use the function generator on the MV as a trackable oscillator? How would I patch that? 2. How can I ...

Microvolt Portamento

I have a Microvolt 3900 that I really enjoy, but I can't figure out how to get portamento. Anybody have any advice? I am using a keystep to control.

I really like the style and price of this format, and I think it sounds excellent, but how do you find the little cables for live performance? I would be afraid of accidentally yanking out a cable during performance and ruining a patch.

An outsider's perspective: I have lurked around this forum for years. I have built dozens (scores?) of systems on modular grid. I have watched hours of youtube demonstrations. But, the reality is: I will never own a real eurorack system. I don't have the money. I teach at an inner-city, low-income c...

Speaking of MIDI, does anyone know how to specify a channel for the 0-Coast? I am running Genome on iPad into an iConnectivity into the 0coast and a Volca. I have one pattern on channel 1, the other on channel 2. The problem is, both synths try to play both patterns and it sounds like a mess. Does a...

Thank you for the response. That was my plan, but I wasn't sure if that would sound the best. Are there even any stereo parameters to adjust in the 0-Coast? I don't see the benefit of running it stereo.

Getting mine tomorrow!

Dumb question: what are you guys using for outs? Is there a significant sound difference between an 1/8 to quarter mono and a 1/8 to RCAs?

Thank you for the replies. I have a much better understanding of what I need now. Looks like the er 101 and a couple clock sources might do it.

When you say "polyrhythmic" do you just mean sequences with different rhythms, or actual polyrhythms in the classical sense, like 2 against 3, 3 against 4, 2 against 5, etc.? Yeah...needs some clarification. Why not use: -MIDI2CV by Hexinverter or Yarns by MI -2VCOs, any module of choice -2ADSRS, a...

So, what I mean is "polyrhythm" in the technical sense: 3 over 2, 3 over 4, 5 over 4, etc. So, one synth voice would play, for example, 3 notes for every 2 in the other voice, those occurring over the same time-span. I mean, it would also be cool to generate polymeter. So, 3/4 and 4/4 happening at t...

Would it be correct to say that Pam's isn't all I need though, and that I would need a sequencer to provide control over the actual notes generated? Pam's just generates the clock, right? I'm sorry, but this sequencer stuff has me stuck. Let me try again: in order to get poly-rhythmic sequences, I w...

ETP, I don't have anything yet. I am researching a whole lot before I jump in. I know what I want to do, but I am hung up on the sequencing aspect. I am thinking of a Pittsburgh Foundation 3 with an additional case that includes Braids, Erbe-Verb, Maths, and Dual Delay. The most important thing in t...

Polyrhythm help

My goal is to set up polyrhythmic sequences with two separate oscillators. I want these sequences to be melodic. I want to be able to choose the specific notes of each sequence. What would I need to be able to do this, (aside from the synth voices themselves)? Would just one Yarns be able to do this...
