Check this if you haven't already:

Also, it's possible that the arduino community can help you better with this type of issues.

Re: I'm digging these drum sounds... save me from going Eurorack

You can get those sound from pretty much any of the drum machines available out there right now. Korg, Arturia, Roland or Elektron shouldn't matter much if your only criteria is to model sounds similar to this demo. I realize my answer could be more specific, but i think other factors will probably ...

Re: SHOCK ELECTRONIX - monotrons & sq-1 converted modules

I built the modatron delay conversion a while back and it was super easy. Not sure about your background, but it shouldn't matter too much. I would describe it as a good beginners project. If you want to know more about the process shock electronix has a pdf with instructions for the conversion on t...

Re: Euroshield by 1010music

You may want to double check this, but afaik daisy is developed for complex audio/dsp tasks among other things. If your partner is looking to do cv processing programming, the requirements for processing power are perhaps a bit less demanding. Daisy may even be a bit over the top. Again, you may wan...

I appreciate your feedback, it helps to know my options and how to approach this. It seems like it's one of those start-digging-where-I'm-standing type of situation. I'll look into it, as well as checking in for updates!

Re: Ornament + Crime

Thanks for a quick reply! Essentially (as you may have i guessed), i am looking for a bare minimum infrastructure code, if possible. Ideally, if one could pinpoint and retain the essential libraries/classes/et c needed for a blank slate, then that would provide a great platform to build on. Even tho...

Re: Ornament + Crime

I've written a bit of sequencer code on the arduino platform before, and right now i'm looking into the possibility of porting some of the stuff i created to an O+C module. Therefore i'd like to ask someone about details of the build... Is there a dedicated forum for the coding stuff, or could someo...

ADDAC have a power starvation module, which kind of puts it in circuit bending territory

Re: "Get lost in the sounds of YouTube’s growing ambient modular synth community"

I guess the downside of living through an analog/modular renaissance is that one day your mom brings home a bunch of mutable instruments modules and starts making new age ambient relaxation videos with it for all her lifestyle followers on instagram. What's irksome is not the hipster kids posting l...

Re: inverse correlations

Wanna give the full context of what you're trying to accomplish? It could help in figuring this out. I think this can be done within FM territory, but it depends on a lot of - yet unknown - factors.

Re: inverse correlations

If you're looking for continuous cv voltages, an attenuverter with modulation functionality would suffice: If the target amplitude of a signal is high, the next target amplitude should be low in direct proportion. If the rate of change to the target amplitude is high, the rate of change to the next ...

Re: Sequencer Step Numbering

I recall hearing a "one, two, fuck you" starting a song, but i don't remember who did it...

Not sure how that could be implemented in a sequencer UI, but i would cherish every effort to make it happen.

Re: Sequencer Step Numbering

I can relate to the problem. In certain situations the value translations between code and user interface becomes a bit awkward. For what it's worth: When i code these things i make a mental compartmentalization between: - How values are presented for the user (starting at 1) - How values are handle...

If any day I will release it for eurorack, I guess I will include a gate/trigger input to reset/launch the machine and maybe some kind of "position" pot, where you can dial in what part of the bytebeat timeline the algoridth starts (when receiving the previous gate/trigger). A full eurorack convers...
