Re: blippoo box
Curious if anyone on the forum is knowledgeable with repairing Blippoo Boxes? I reached out to Rob, but I'm stateside and with covid restrictions I'm not sure how feasible the repair will be so I figured I'd reach out here.

Re: 0-CTRL clock in a module?
This is one of my favorite features. I also have my Serge sequencer patched in a similar way all the time. The Serge Sequencer programmer has A & B outputs, taking the B into the CV of a VC Time Gen (clock generator) and attenuating allows for adjustable timing per step. You can do this with any sim...

Re: Buchla History Lesson, Please (Sequencer + Tape Machines)
I'm sure I have read a description in a book (Allen Strange?) of a process of recording 'shaped noise' onto tape and extracting the envelopes later (as CV) for use in compositions - I can't remember where I saw this, or much detail (clearly!) but it was a way of recording CV into tape and decoding ...

Ha yeah I figured that was the case. Just wishful thinking that there was some magical way to open it without doing permanent damage.

PS2a Repair
Did a little diving but couldn't find anything. Curious if anyone has repaired a PS2a before?
I have an old one that is missing it's ground connection. Handy enough to do the repair myself but have no idea if it's possible to get the brick open without damaging things. Any tips?

Re: Controlling Ciat Lonbarde with Buchlas and vice versa.
You can definitely route CV to and from Ciat. I loved the 208 + Cocoquantus combo, but mainly for processing audio. Of course Ciat provides a lot of non-linear / chaotic leaning modulation options so it might be good to define what sort of control you are looking for. But generally speaking, from my...

Bugbrand - Krell
Decided to try and implement Todd Barton's Krell patch with my Bug system. The patching environment is similar, (dual cycling envelope generators influencing timing and dynamics). Instead of working with a more traditional sample/hold configuration I used one “channel” of the DDSR to create pitch in...

Appreciate all the insight. I think a dedicated panner/crossfader would be great but understand the setbacks that may be involved. I loved working with the Wiard 300 Dual Mixolator and even later down the line the Make Noise RxMx for these purposes, so maybe looking to another format for signal rout...

Stereo Mixing
I'm curious how other Bug users are handling panning/stereo/quad mixing with their systems? I find myself doing most of it in post, recording two channels via the dual mixing panel but it's less than ideal in a live situation and I'd love to have more automation going on with the stereo field while ...

Tap-tempo is probably not possible direct from me, sorry No apologies necessary! I figured it was not worth the hassle and it's really only my problem with being finicky about external clock sources and having them fail on me. I'm much more interested in this S/H anyways! Also should probably just ...

After having a couple live sets take some turns because of failing external clock sources ... I've been thinking about a dedicated clock module for the bug that includes a tap tempo function. I'm completely ignorant to what this might involve but it would be cool to be able to manually control/injec...

Made this track with a Loudest Warning "sing to me panel" and a Make Noise Rene. Really loved the combination. It was a single take mixing a lot of variations of the voices and manually controlling feedback. SSG having cv control over the Wave Mults to provide intermittent timbre changes. [bandcamp ...

Entrancer - Downgrade (Denver, CO) - Serge, Bug, Elektron
I have a new release physical + digital via a new Denver (CO) based label Multidim Records. The album took close to two years for me to complete, using various setups (Serge, Elektron, Bugbrand, Monome, Ciat-Lonbarde). The release mutated a lot throughout the two years but I’m very happy with where ...

Excellent work sukyaneer . Thought this track might be relevant to the conversation, solo Plumbutter 2 improvisation. Wish I would have captured a visual of the patch but often whenever I patch the PB I end up just kind of losing myself a bit. [bandcamp width=100% height=120 size=large bgcol=ffffff ...

Ciat-Lonbarde, Serge, Buchla, Mutable release
I compiled this release of modular improvisations that I created over the past couple of years. Mainly Ciat-Lonbarde, Serge, Buchla, Mutable, Shared System and BugBrand. Spent the better part of the last five years feeling unsettled and migrating from one system to another, learned a lot through thi...

For anyone interested in cassettes, the release is seeing a limited tape run with beautifully printed Risograph j-cards. I always envisioned this release on some physical format, happy to work with Obsolete Future via Glasgow/Denver to make that happen. https://obsoletefuture.bandcamp.com/album/decl...

arnoux Thanks for listening. Those sounds are generated from the cocoquantus, it's sort of the nature of that machine IMO. I'm pretty certain I'm modulating the skips with the S/H of one of the quantussy voices. I tend to have the speed and chaos turned all the way up, then slowly turn the chaos do...
