I agree with the mentions of the segwencer, ddvco, and v-gates (pretty much anything SSL) Another vote for the megaohm delta...I swear that thing is actually alive It seems simple, but the dotcom three channel quantizer opened new worlds to me The q150. Its frequency cutoff knob is a musical instrum...

Re: SSL Serge Smooth / Stepped Generator

I'm still inthe design phase.... So how would you propose adding functions ? :hmm: :hihi: It’s looking good. I am not a Serge owner, except for the occasional clone, so I have little to add. Maybe Neovintage's ideas will fit onto the same size panel. I already have a Source of Uncertainty and a DUS...

Re: Two long-time 5U wigglers collaborate

One of the tracks from this release (1981) was played in the first hour of this past weekend's broadcast of Stars End (host Chuck van Zyl). It's definitely an honor to be part of a show that has been a staple of ambient radio for decades. Listen to the show! There are several familiar names in the p...

Re: Twisted Electrons MEGAfm

I've been playing with mine for a few days now. Yes, it is a bit fiddly, weird and noisy, but it can make the loveliest tones. Sometimes it seems very straightforward and even simple, but then I'll make an adjustment or change the voice architecture and changes occur that I just can't explain. Which...

Re: Two long-time 5U wigglers collaborate

I've listened to this album twice now, and I have nothing but great things to say. It tickles my senses in just the right way, and I really appreciate that it was done remotely. I can't imagine the difficulties involved in producing such a monumental piece, but I am totally impressed. Sincere kudos...

Re: Two long-time 5U wigglers collaborate

When you both were creating this, were you thinking about how-where it would be used-listened to? Is there a difference making music for a car trip-commute or while Sunday cleaning? Do you create with the 'end' in mind? Is there a goal? Or is the work only a hard record of the experience you yourse...

I was going to start a thread about this earlier but ran out of time.

Stop! Stop doing what you're doing NOW. It's not important. Get over to bandcamp and buy this album and listen to it. That's what's important.
Thank you sduck!

Two long-time 5U wigglers collaborate

Hi everyone. I've collaborated with David Ryle (aka Kindred Lost) for well over a year now to make an album: Devolver. Lots of MU synth modules were used in making this, as well as numerous other synths and electronic equipment. We hope you enjoy it! http://thosedisappeared.bandcamp.com/album/devolv...

Re: 5U / MOTM Klee Sequencer - Case options?

The pictures shown on Tony's page you linked to are of the little desktop case he made for me. I can vouch for these! Analog Craftsman will make a custom MOTM case in odd widths: http://analogcraftsman.com/?product=minicase#tab-description A cool desktop wedge shape, and looks really reasonably pric...

Re: Eurorack, next to 5U?

I like eurorack modules. I like their portability, the wide range of selection and design, easy availability etc, I even don't really mind the small knobs and layout. But what I REALLY DISLIKE is the power cable/connector system in the eurorack format. Maybe there's some trick I don't know about but...
