After more testing,I’ve narrowed it down to the ff400 driver(at least I think so) all works fine when I unplug the ff400 and use the internal and out.no crackles. Im using a fire face 400 with the latest drivers' run at 44.1k and have a few other bits all linked digitally,It all worked fine till i updated.It is an old mac that i got a metal compatible graphics card and a ssd for system disc. It does sound like a sample rate thing or buffer overruns type thing...

audio crackles with mojave

ever since i updated to mojave i have been suffering from crackles and pops when playing audio from safari and when using quick look on audio files.I am using firefox which seams to play audio ok but id like to fix it.Logic and reaktor play fine, its as if the stock apple audio driver is the problem...

Ive just found his originals, which is what i started with, although i converted it to core and adapted wildly!
it took me many hours of trial and error to get them to work on my system, so be prepared

I don't have a es 40 but if i remember correctly bendedavis's original has es-40 encoding, there is a thread on muffs where here has posted things, search.
so in theory you can send clocks and din sync.

Ok,thanks for the help, and i hadn't released the limit with processed files, makes sense now,I'll try with only a couple of samples in the folder.
Its not as if i'm stuck with no alternatives to try ;) .

Thank you for your quick responses . I reformatted the card and only copied the firmware and 1 folder of samples(it never worked with any of the sample folders).And rebooted, it processed and then allowed me to scrub, but only for a short while then nothing, changing samples stopped things, i had to...

I've just checked all the other audio algos and they work fine even the reverse which is the other one that needs to process before playback, which i6 does when i select a new folder.

Hi
I've been trying in vain to get a sound out of this algo,Ive read the manual, watched the video and still no sound, i have 2 distings and its the same on booth,Ive tried speed limit, used short samples' had a constant voltage to wiggle then an lfo.I'm using V4.14.
Any thoughts as to whats up

I've 2 disting m4s and they both behave the same : when in b1 sample and hold i don't seam to be able to access parameters 1-3, the mode is there but no 1-3.
I'm running 4.14 firmware

i saw that at some point there was a cv+gate input mod for voice 1,but I've not found any info , i have tried connecting directly to the voice cards cv+gate inputs and the light flashes when gates received but no sound.
i wonder if any one has info on this mod.Thanks in advance

hi I recently had to change some pots on my dpo and mmg, and like you didn't want to pay tax etc. i found some replacements at Thonk,they are not a direct replacement and they sit little higher than the originals and have a more positive feel.I would recommend the solder sucker with the silicon tube...

Hi I thought I’d let you know how I got on. I ordered the replacements from thonk and I’ve just done the mmg and all is working fine, the only thing is they are a bit taller than the originals so the knobs sit higher than the others. It was very fiddly getting the old ones out, even with my new sold...

Thanks for the info,i was looking for a supply thats not in the usa, sorry but import taxes from usa are expensive, a uk or european supplier would be preferable, but if needs must ill pay the tax.

Alpha B10k (4c4)
I can find Alpha B10k's but not with the 4c4 number

thanks for the quick response,I tracked it down to a wave set i down loaded from muffs...a set for the disting with massive waves! removing these has solved the problem.

Disting M4 -Wavetable oscillator problem

I just added some more wavetables and they totally shut down the disting.I have a lot of tables(42) which work fine yet these 3 new ones crash.The waves play ok in sample playback.
I'm running 10.03.
