Re: Cwejman MMF-1s

When I "updated" to cwejman I had big problems with MS row power and synchrotech PSUs. Used the doepfer and every problem vanished. But had to get another PSU to make my case as mobile as possible. The ACL low noize PSU + eve-1 busboards was the solution. Superclean and quiet.

The Rebel Technology Tonic is pretty close to what you're describing, without the switches or the ability to add an external signal.
cool thanks for the info, I'll have a look at it!

Re: VPME.DE T43

id love an extended version with a bit of logic: every switch has an input jack for gates or triggers. The jack being input A and the switch input B of a logic operation or flipflop you can set globally (for all switches). If you have a lot of gates and triggers in your system I believe it would giv...

Yes it's great. I've done measurements on its output with a very precise multimeter. Its super accurate! Actually I didn't expect that kind of accuracy. The max derivation was like 1mV

Spend $2000 on a module and half of these users have no idea how to use it.
hahaha .. THIS!
95% of the cwejman community have no clue at all
1% of the cwejman community post in forums. The rest is busy using their modules.

Re: Questioning common advice

my uncommon advices: should be taken with a lot of salt :-) - don't use semi modular stuff. It has no use. - get some good quality, simple and basic building blocks before starting with Hyperpulsar Fusiogenetic Supersynthesis. - put your cellphone away and teach yourself some silence. Then listen. -...

Re: Bread and Butter Analog Oscillators in 2020

E300 looks great too :) It's a beast! Last month I got one used and the thing is just great in everything it does. The sync + FM just kills it. Shortly after I got another one and they will be in my case forever. I love analog Oscs! Had to calibrate them though, maybe the first user fiddled with th...

the answer to the opening question is: Yes, partially. But anything can be. I'm very happy that this is the case because that means that skilled engineers enter the market and can earn something.

Re: TZFM | ZPO vs. Generate-3

Thanks Funky40 for that assesment. I've had quite similar feelings towards the G3 and ZPO. Also had the Omega Phi and to complete the row I've had the doepfer tzOSC. Sadly I ddn't have all 4 of them at the same time, so I didn't compare them directly. - Omega is the cleanest of all. If you look at p...

MG does not possess any rights for the module images. Regarding the rack graphics or screenshots: yes, you can use them. It's always nice to see some attribution, at least don't edit away the MG watermark in screenshots. cool, thanks for the info! I'll certainly credit MG for any used material. It'...

Re: Sequencer for live improvisations with long sequences (64 steps and more) for 2020

the Westlicht performer handles this in a very nice way IMO. With the advanced selecting options and copy and paste you can populate the 64 steps very fast in a meaningful way.

Is it legal to use Pictures and Screenshots of MG inside a Youtube Video upload? I'm making a videoseries and it would be nice to insert some pictures of individual modules or entire setups from MG. I'm not planning to earn money from this but don't want to exclude the possibility in the unlikely ca...

Re: Advice with first rack appriciated.

that looks not so bad at all. As you already said, its good not to get all of it at once. You can use the Contour1 as a great 2nd osc, maybe dont get the pams at the beginning before you master the Quadrax and take some time to think about if you really want menu diving. In any case a bigger case ju...

Re: Cwejman owners, current or past

last week I saw a mmf1 on ebay go for 580€, is still a lot of money, but for that kind of filter it's a good price in my view. I would have gotten it if I didn't have the qmmf4 already.

Re: Joranalogue GENERATE 3 - Through-Zero Multiphonic Signal Generator

There must be at least 1000 sold. I don’t think it’s wise to put any momentousness into a few low grades on MG. exactly! I wouldn't place any value in that rating. I love MG for what it is, but that rating isn't relevant at all in my view. Maybe if that module has 2000 ratings its more interesting....

the direct outputs are also great! just had a setup where I use the sponde as an Audio mixer. But Channels 3 and 4 where envelopes routed to the direct outs. That way I had 4 Audiochannels and the modulation depth of 2 envelopes inside one dense faderset.

Re: Cwejman owners, current or past

Cwejman modules put a smile an my face every single day. That's enough for me. They are also the fastest modules, meaning I instantly get what I want. Every single knob feel exactly how it should. The filter resonances for example dont have many sweetspots, it is one morphing sweetspot all the way. ...
