Re: new HORNET synth

The Portabella is quite an instrument, but I have never tried the RVG Trig out...has anyone had any experience triggering say, a Roland drum machine?

Re: new HORNET synth

My opinion is that it is built like a tank...and the case is quite beautiful. Furthermore, sonically it more than meets my expectations(my brother has a Synthi AKS; I prefer the sound of the Portabella somehow). The Random Voltage Generator is a welcome addition; along with the joystick controlling ...

Arturia Beatstep(NOT pro) Question

Does anyone know whether the Beatstep encoders are capable of getting down to C -2 so as to control preset sequencing on a Bastl Microgranny?

Thanks,
John

Here's something I wrote about this seminal group... Best, John www.johnjpotter.com Scheduled to play at the AV Festival at Newcastle upon the Tyne in the UK, the legendary electro-exploratory group Zoviet*France is in dire need of re-evaluation. Arguably the four albums pictured above represent som...

Hula...any fans?

Is anyone a fan of Cabaret Voltaire compatriot's Hula ?...such beautifully brutal music with cut-ups, cacophony and caustic sonology!! Reissues of their fine work on KLanggalerie offer improved sonics and extra tracks...so underrated...so compelling!

Cheers,
John

I spoke to Michael in Brooklyn a week or so ago asking precisely that question. (My brother is a bass player) He said he'd be very happy to make a bass, and I, for one, would be very excited to see a Sankey bass! Michael does incredible work; his instruments look beautiful and play with an ease that...
