hi nervousapps,
pin 13 is the cutoff pin, so that value can be ok
What are the values on pin 16 and 9?
Can you scope/record the signal on pin 1 (input) and pin 3 (output).

hi nervousapps, I am sorry to hear about the trouble you have. I didn't realise that Synthcube sells kits for this. Are you saying it does nothing at all? with gain to the max and frequency to the max? So you measured the power voltages on all three ic's? Btw, do you have a scope? The ssi adapter th...

Am I correct in thinking that I would do this using a VCA to modulate the amplitude of the modulating signal, before it went into the FM/PM input, with the FM/PM knobs scaling to the modulation amount? yes, you are correct. Also that is not always intuitive how the knobs and inputs interact. It tak...

HI, it is approx 5v, but you can easily change it by adjusting r11 and r12.

I'm on the lowest position (I turned it, it has an impact on the range) FYI, I've just completed another one, and the range seems to be ok. that's odd, things I can think of right now: - does swapping the 3340 make any difference? - could the timing capacitor have a different value? - doublecheck R...

Re: high pitch

Hi, I've built this module and calibrated it but I find it really high pitched : - lowest note I can have is A0 - on 12 clock I have a B6 node - at 3 o'clock, can't hear any sound but I have a signal do you think it's normal ? thanks HI Canut, The lowest note sounds kinda ok (27 Hz?), but the behav...

Just fineshed mine. The overall pitch of the drums is quite high...I can get it to sound like a high tom but not like a bass drum... What might be causing the issue? I didn't have all resistors (like the 27k or 56k) but managed to get the same values soldering them in parallel. Also didn't have fer...

Re: is LP2985-10DBVR instead of LP2985A-10DBVR ok ?

canut wrote:Hi, I'm wondering if I can use LP2985-10DBVR instead of LP2985A-10DBVR as an alternative ?

Thanks,

I think that's fine, the only difference I found is that the tolerance of the output voltage is a bit higher.

Hi, TimoRozendal I just built the module and I'm getting some modulation from the individual knobs for each of the hi/lo/band channels, but it seems they just act as attenuators (as in the input pots attenuate), and nothing from the CV/Resonance/Cutoff. Any idea as to what may be causing this? Im c...

Yes, I still have a couple in stock.
Otherwise you can also check Modular Addict as alternative

Sorry, I have not visited muff wiggler in a while and missed some replies.
I don't have these in stock at the moment, but Modular Addict has.

The envelope is logarithmic and the minimum attack time is ~4ms (which sounds very snappy with this curve)

that is the correct version, how do you flash it? with a PickIt-3 on MacOSX, MP-Lab_ide 4.01. Can I mess it up? maybe the cpu speed? sounds fine, but if everything is ok you should not have to select a chip and speed and such, that should already be taken care of when you open the project. Was that...

Yes, it is a little quiet by design. You can increase R27 to something like 150k to increase the output a bit.

PM and Feedback give really nice and clean results but FM is really noisy and weird. Even with low frequencies it gets messy very fast. I already traced the signals and the FM-CV is nice and clean after the OP-Amp stage with 3.19V ptp. The problem is the same if I use the 1V/oct input. Hi MatMillio...

SSI2144 Resonance kludge

If you are using the SSI2144 and you are not satisfied with the resonance control you can take a look at the following (some users report that it works without issue). Try to add negative cv offset to the cv resonance input and see in combination with the T3 setting if this gives you a better resona...
