Re: JX-8P repair

Hello! I have picked up a beat up JX-8p that has a couple of demons. The screen is very intermittent, some times it works, sometimes it displays gibberish, sometimes nothing. Sometimes turning the synth off and on brings the screen back and some times hitting buttons makes it display the right or w...

The LED dimming is interesting and i hope it works as well as the thing looks, and that the buttons don't turn to sticky mush over time.

Re: It's official - Behringer 808...

Previously had no success updating from the Windoze Synthtribe app - it'd lose the RD-8 during the power cycle - but the latest revision fixed that, so was able to successfully update to the 2.0.4 firmware. Haven't got my head around all the 2.0.4 functionality updates, but it boots in about 1/10 th...

Re: Korg 2600 Mini

So using the photo and my own Korg Mini MS-20, I took various ruler measurements trying to allow for perspective in the photo, and came up with this… Total width of unit = 19 inches (!) I did the same, and came up with the same answer :yay: As i did the calculations, thought how cool it'd be to hav...

Steven W. Smith - The Scientist and Engineer’s Guide to Digital Signal Processing That’s also online I think. It’s fairly easy to read as it doesn’t swamp you with any more maths than what is strictly required, which is rare for a DSP textbook. Thanks for the tip! :guinness: Book is downloadable by...

Re: Where to store the packaging your gear comes in

Little boxes nested in mid-sized boxes nested in large boxes, all in the BIG BOX on top of the wire shelf where idle toys go to rest.
It could probably store many more boxes inside if i flattened them all but i don't have that many.

Re: Behringer Neutron Alternative Panel [POLL]

You made a substantial improvement by reducing the busy look of the first iteration, and you could probably reduce it further while still giving an untrained operator all the information they'd need to get around. Do words need to be spelled completely out, with footnotes and operating tips? (I'm po...

Re: What's your take on the BEHRINGER MODEL D? Seen a lot for sale recently.

The guy I got it from just got a Slim Phatty and Sub37 so didn’t need it. 275 Canadian dollars later, it’s mine! I bought a Slim Phatty specifically for the purpose of capturing what i consider the classic "Moog bass" sound but it didn't capture it at all! :despair: Got a Boog and in 30 seconds of ...

The later MXP 100/500 and MX stuff is all Digitech - the docs even have the Digitech Utah address on them. Harman basically used the far more prestigious Lexicon name to rebrand Digitech. You won't find a 224 style Hall or Rich Plate anywhere in those boxes. The original Belmont/Waltham MA Lexicon ...
